The Giants activated Shepard (toe) off the list of injured reserves on Thursday, to Michael Eisen from the team’s official website.
Shepard suffered a toe injury on the turf at the opening of the season and spent the next five weeks in the RI. The Giants opened their window to return on Tuesday, and after training the last two days, the team decided to bring him back to the active list. Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network noted that Shepard will go through pre-game practice before the Giants make a resolution about their availability for Thursday’s philadelphia game, but the road has been paved for him to return to action.
