Studio Amelia is the shoe logo that a multimillion-dollar company in its first year – Read more about its founder

There is a new footwear logo in town, the Amelia Studio, founded through Emily Amelia Inglis.

Minimum in taste and nature, expect a small but perfectly formed collection of flats and fresh leather sandals.Let’s not go the diversity of bags in the same line, at least it’s more, all in a fundamental palette of black, white and nude.

The lightweight line of sandals and accessories is very existing and, thanks to its universal appeal, SA’s clientele extends from London to Hong Kong (and in the middle).

The result? A sales boom that sent corporate finance skyrocketing in its first year via direct-to-consumer approach. There is also the classic wholesale circuit, the logo is purchased through primary retail outlets around the world, adding Browns, Net-A-Porter, Moda Operandi, Lane Crawford, and Luisa Via Roma, to name a few. And this is all the more impressive since Inglis didn’t start their business until May 2019. We are learning more about their logo ethics, their target market, and how it works. expect the company to evolve.

Felicity Carter: What’s your first fancy memory?

Emily Amelia Inglis: My mother, with her pointed settings and meddly (delighted to say that the costumes lasted, not the meds).

FC: How would you summarize the aesthetics?

EAI: It is attractive to note that lately we are relaunching our logo by 2021 and what I feel so far, especially being our first year in the business, is that we have been a kind of blank slate; create undeniable and undeniable pieces so that we can about our consumer, be informed of what they need and what they need, and now we have implemented those informational beings at this new level that we will soon share with all of you.mind, I would say that our aesthetic, and our consumer, is discreetly striking and a little consciously naughty.

FC: Why shoes?

EAI: After spending years in the generation industry, you will be informed to grow and grow through iterations; starting with your MVP (minimum viable product), and from there you inform yourself, optimize and grow and it goes without saying that this is how I approached Studio Amelia, just over a year ago I started with only four flat sandals, hence suits heels and then bags and from 2021 we will launch our first collection pr.t-a-porter, so the shoes for us were only the first step , many steps and iterations, to be informed, create and expand a logo considered with very favorable offers.

FC: What is it to you?

EAI: The luxury for me is in the details; For us, those are the things that are not necessary or apparent (not even visible), however, time, care and attention has been taken with them and why we have to do it, but because we have to do it.

For example, right now, we’re presenting our first collection of pro-t-a-porter and we’re working with exquisite durable fabrics from factories in Italy, applying a discreet ”blinking’ logo and you’ll miss it’ to our logo – also durable products – yettons (which are no less made of paper) and in the most sensitive of that, and less evident to many as an Array feature , however, we compensate for all emissions generated through all shipments we make in this process.as a customer, you know that no details have been overlooked when you invest with us.

FC: Who is your client?

EAI: Working with such a blank aesthetic, I think it has allowed us to open ourselves to women from many other backgrounds; On a single day, we’ll get orders from consumers in the United Arab Emirates, from Hong Kong to New York, and everyone buys equal or similar parts, however, the way they bring and appreciate those pieces may differ altogether..

FC: What are the cornerstones of your business?

EAI: I like to say “other smart people, smart products and smart actions.”By surrounding myself with just other smart people on my team, it guarantees me that even when things get complicated, you know you can lean on others (never if this were more true during the pandemic (I don’t know what I would have done without them).Good products, well thought out and well manufactured, will be a sensible investment for us and our client.

Finally, and more recently, intelligent behavior is increasingly at the forefront as a result of the struggles we have witnessed over the following year; forest fires, the pandemic and more recently the BLM movement. We have donated profits this period, however, we are now developing business processes and behaviors to have some consistency in this regard, starting with automatic donations to charities decided through our online store each and every time a visitor reviews.

FC: Who was the first customer to gather the meeting and where can we buy now?

EAI: The first time I shared a prototype symbol on Instagram, I was contacted in hours through net-A-Porter, Moda Operandi, Browns, Level Shoes and many others. These four, who continue to be partners with us, were my first and since then we have spread to Lane Crawford, Forward through Elyse Walker, LUISAVIAROMA, Selfridges and many others around the world.

FC: What is a pride for you so far?

EAI: I am very proud to say that Studio Amelia has become a multimillion-dollar company in its first year, with a team covering London, New York, Sydney and Spain and the other people who make up this team are the top solidarity and friendly.and an organization of difficult paintings that it never finds.Possibly it would seem like a success overnight, however, 23 years ago, I started putting this concept in combination, and I’m just getting started, yet that’s all I’ve learned.(including all those horrible jobs!) Whoever made Studio Amelia is such a strong and satisfied company, and that’s why I’m very proud.

FC: What are your long-term goals?

EAI: Needless to say, that, and as is clear from our conference, our first line of pr’t-a-porter, which is a component of our relaunch by 2021, will be a great time for us next year.

Beyond that, and most importantly, I think it’s a precedent for my team and I to take a moment to breathe, inventory and pat us on the back.

It’s very easy to get carried away by the impulse and ask, “What’s the next step?”However, I think it is imperative that you take the time to perceive what works, which expands and only grows, but expands successfully and successfully.
