Revised plans have been submitted for the construction of approximately 250 houses and advertising sets at a former foundry south of Leeds Quay.

Citu (Climate Innovation District Phase 2) Ltd, with the support of ID Planning, has submitted a request for complete plans to Leeds City Council for the former Hydro Aluminium smelting site, between Clarence Road and the River Aire and Citu’s Low Fold project.

Approval is being sought for a progression of 247 homes and approximately 8,500 square feet of advertising area for retail and recreational uses.

The complexes would span more than 12 blocks and consist of a mix of apartments, duplexes, and one- to four-bedroom homes.

A private, common and common area would be provided, in the form of two landscaped podiums and an open public green area.

The plans also include 88 car parking spaces (including 12 handicapped parking spaces), with on-site electric car charging stations and 301 secure bike parking spaces.
