Juventus legend Stefano Tacconi criticises the club’s abysmal performances and identifies the two top lone players.
The 66-year-old was one of the most charismatic goalkeepers of his generation. He represented the Bianconeri between 1983 and 1992, winning trophies, including the European Cup.
The Italian suffered a serious health problem a few years ago and had to spend 18 months in hospital before being discharged in December 2023.
Tacconi is gradually regaining his fitness without losing sight of his beloved club.
But Juventus have not given the legendary goalkeeper any joy in recent months.
The Bianconeri are on a downward spiral, having won just one of their last Serie A games.
The former Italy foreigner believes the team would score a goal even if the match lasted three hours, highlighting Max Allegri’s tactical approach.
“Today, when I watch Juve play, I think I feel like those guys probably wouldn’t score a goal even in 3 hours,” Tacconi was quoted as saying by Nicolo Shira via JuventusNews24.
“I don’t like Allegri’s mentality. “
Furthermore, the former Juventus goalkeeper identifies Wojciech Szczesny and Dusan Vlahovic as the high caliber players remaining at the club.
“It’s also true that the club doesn’t have the wonderful players it once had.
“Vlahovic and Szczesny are the only players more sensible and worthy of the wonderful Juventus. “
That’s right, Alex. And tonight’s game? At least I couldn’t start with Rugani, Miretti and De Sciglio, who are examples of players who are not worthy of Juve. The same roster could also include Sandro, McKennie, Kostic, Iling Jr. and Weah. All the Allegri players love to play.
