If 2020 gave us something, it’s extra time. Many have used it to reconnect with the outdoors.
As we end the year and many other people burn during the holidays, taking a vacation to explore an unknown outdoor destination, here are five of my favorite places to visit:
Brown County State Park, Nashville
Nicknamed the “Little Smokies” because of the area’s resemblance to Smoky Mountain National Park, Brown County offers visitors the chance to spread among the hills, screams and ridges that many would not expect to locate in southern Indiana. Covering only about 16,000 acres, you can find genuine solitude in the park desert. A winter walk along one of the many trails is a wonderful way to delight in herbal scenes without the summer crowds.
The park offers many cabin features and houses the magnificent Abe Martin Lodge. There is an ideal place to eat on site; when I tell you to order the fried chicken. You’ll have to scale the
90-foot-tall fireplace tower for amazing perspectives of the surrounding area. And you need to spend time exploring Nashville. This small old village is the Indiana Art Colony. Have a cookie in Hobnob.
Stockton Lake, Missouri
Winter may not seem like the time to spend fishing, however, if you need to inventory your freezer with fish-type filletes, it’s time to go to Stockton Lake to fish with Kris Nelson of Tandem Fly Outfitters.
You don’t have to worry about anything. Kris has the perfect accommodation on site and provides all the gadgets you want on your equipped consulting boat. He’ll come out with his type of fish in steaks and in a freezer position.
This vacation will take you just an hour north of Springfield, Missouri, where Bass Pro Shops. Si is located there is a fisherman in your life who has never stopped at the place of origin, deserves to take you there to see you become a child again Don’t stop at the National Museum and the wonders of the Wildlife Aquarium to delight you in that never
Sanibel Island, Florida
In the future, I will spend each and every winter in a warm place. The island of Sanibel is close to the most sensitive of my possible places for snowbirds. The island is surrounded by beautiful watercolors full of fish.
The white sand beaches are among the most productive in the country, food and nightlife are very productive for my taste of casual sandwiches and world-class seafood, I ate a lime cake that never expired, I like island life and Sanibel is one of the most productive islands I have ever visited.
Another great attraction on Sanibel Island at the NJDing Darling National Wildlife Refuge. C is one of the most productive bird watching destinations I know. Named after Duck Stamp’s father, this safe haven is a wonderful position to explore nature in the warmth of Florida winter.
Chico Hot Springs, Montana
If I had to decide what my only favorite position in the world is, Chico would be in the race. Located in downtown Paradise Valley, halfway between Livingston and the northern front of Yellowstone National Park, this hot spring resort has welcomed travelers since 1900. The pool full of herbal thermal water is the attraction, however, the position to eat on site is perhaps the most productive in the state.
Even 65 km north of Yellowstone, you deserve to plan to take advantage of the special winter opportunities offered by snowmobiles, cross-country skiing or snowshoes at a time when the only crowds you encounter are herds of animals. a hot spring in such a charming setting that it’s hard to believe it’s real.
Treetops Resort, Gaylord, Michigan
Downhill and cross-country skiing are the two main attractions of the Treemost Sensitive Resort during the winter, but for me, this beautiful destination offers perfect trout fishing near the Pigeon River and the Sturgeon River. Standing among the snowy pines, throwing dry flies to the trout in silence is the best life. The most sensitive hotels are the most sensitive and bring you closer to everything.
Gaylord is an Alpine village. Not really. The whole city is designed to make you feel like you’re in a village in the Swiss Alps. He’s incredibly charming. It is also home to many perfect restaurants. Big Buck Brewery is the best position to have a local pint and a burger. No north is total for me without a plate of sea bass. The Alpine Tavern will satisfy this wish.
Be sure to stop by Jay’s Sporting Good. This gigantic independent shop has everything you could want to hunt and fish in the area.
See you on the track . . .
