Tennessee football has lost four games in a row after an eight-game winning streak dating back to the time part of last season.
Flights (2-4) led Arkansas (3-3) in a 24-13 loss in which they ceded 24 consecutive issues in half.
Here are the notes for Tennessee after a brutal loss:
How do you describe the Tennessee attack on Saturday? The flights had a momentary part for about 20 minutes, and that came from an Arkansas penalty.
It was a disconcerting night for the flights, which were amazing in one role and then horrible in another.
Tennessee ran for 96 yards in the first quarter when he dictated ownership time and controlled the game. UT ran 19 times and pitched five in the fourth, with Eric Gray getting most of the runs.
UT controlled the quarter of a moment.
But the Flights went to three problems in their first practice of the time: Arkansas scored consecutive touchdowns, Jarrett Guarantano left the game with an obvious head injury and UT’s offense was defeated.
The flights had only 116 yards in the middle of the moment, adding 72 in the last practice with Arkansas giving UT passes for a short film with the stopwatch running. Brian Maurer was not effective. Harrison Bailey played on a complicated stage and did quite well given the timing and despite two interceptions.
Flights passed for 107 yards, their worst passing result since they opposed Alabama in 2017.
Quality: D-plus
Tennessee closed Arkansas in the first half with a 21-yard failure.
Arkansas did not lose much after half-time, starting with a landing of 17 games and 75 yards to open the third quarter. Philip Franks, an infamous challenge for the Robberies in his tenure in Florida, there again.
He pitched for 170 yards in the third quarter with two touchdowns, connecting Mike Woods for a 56-yard winning point to prepare a touchdown, and Treylon Burks for a 59-yard touchdown, which established third-quarter dominance.
Franks finished 18 of 24 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns.
Tennessee allowed 198 yards per ground, one high season, because Burks was a challenge in the air and on earth.
UT recoiled on the third attempt, allowing the Razorbacks to convert nine out of 17 attempts. He didn’t force sales either.
Grade: D
Brent Cimaglia hit a 50-yard basket and then a 48-yard basket. His celebrations were as smart as kicking. He’s had some other chance in the last quarter, but Tennessee decided to do it in the room and didn’t convert.
Quality: B-plus
Tennessee ruled for 30 minutes on Saturday. Then it turned into a 30-minute trash can, which is a theme for those flights.
Tennessee’s fights in the second half reached a new low against Arkansas. Tennessee was 88-7 in the third quarter of their last four games after the Razorbacks hit UT 24-0 in the frame.
Turns out that each and every team in Tennessee plays changes in halftime and that the Flights lay an egg.
Choosing to kick a basket of approximately 40 yards in the last quarter to potentially shoot in the game 24-16 is hard to defend.
Grade: D-minus
Eric Gray
The ball carrier had 123 yards on the ground. He has played in three 100-yard games this season.
