Deandre Johnson, Tennessee’s most sensible football player, entered the motion portal on Tuesday.
Johnson had 41. 2 catches in 2020, tied for the position of team leader. The Miami senior had 10 catches in four seasons in Tennessee.
Johnson had a season-opening victory in Tennessee in South Carolina on September 26, 2020, with six tackles and 21. 2 catches with a forced loose ball in one of the catches to win the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week award.
It’s a graduate transfer.
Johnson is the seventh flight to enter the motion portal in December: he joined Field Marshal J. T. Shrout, Field Marshal Jarrett Guarantano, final closed Austin Pope, open receiver Brandon Johnson, tight final Jordan Allen and outside supporter Kivon Bennett.
Bennett had 41. 2 catches last season to tie Johnson in the team lead.
Tennessee relied heavily on freshman Tyler Baron in 2020, and the flights used sparingly the time student Roman Harrison and freshman Morven Joseph as outdoor supporters.
UT hired school supporter Byron Young at the beginning of the signing period.
