For the time being, on a consecutive day, a football game involving a Dallas-area school was canceled due to COVID-19.

Paris North Lamar canceled Friday’s home game against the Nevada network after three North Lamar athletes tested positive for COVID-19 in the following two days, North Lamar ISD director Carla Coleman said Thursday. Anna, scheduled for September 18, as well as volleyball games scheduled for Tuesday and September 18.

Nevada Community (0-2) has a last-minute replacement and will play at Longview Spring Hill (0-2) at 7:30 p. m. Friday.

North Lamar ISD reported 14 cases of COVID-19, adding six (3 employees, 3 students) to high school, according to the district’s website.

Anna’s coach Jason Heath said his team is going to replace North Lamar, but he hasn’t found one yet.
