WHAT’S AT STAKE
The 12 high hopes of the playoffs took a hit when Texas beat Oklahoma state last week, but that doesn’t mean the league name values the fight. A “must win” for either group if they hope to fight for the championship.
KEY MATCH
West Virginia Quarterback Jarret Doege against Texas points supporter Joseph Ossai. Doege will want quick relaxation and look at his head to neutralize the avalanche of passes from Ossai, who ruled Texas’ disappointed oklahoma State victory with three catches, a forced escape and a split.
PLAYERS TO SEE
West Virginia: A smart race allowed Ossai to stay under control in the passing race, starting with Mountaineers runner Leddie Brown, who averages 115. 7 yards consistent with the game and 5. 5 yards consistent with the race. HalfBack Chuba Hubbard last week.
Texas: D’Shawn Jamison had a 100-yard landing last week. He has two recoil landings in his career, a clear landing and additional problems coming back blocked to score.
FACTS AND FIGURES
