North Texas’ last professional soccer club, Texoma FC, is taking a step toward its debut with the announcement of a uniform and apparel partnership featuring the Danish sportswear logo Hummel.
Hummel will supply the club’s home, away and choice uniforms, as well as educational equipment, apparel and some retail items as the club begins betting on USL League One in 2025.
According to Texoma FC President Ben Watson, the home and away uniforms will be announced on other dates, with the release of the primary uniform scheduled for September this year and the release of the secondary uniform around the new year.
“Our new multi-year partnership with Hummel ushers in a new era for soccer here in Texoma. We’re joining forces with a global logo that establishes a reputation that resembles quality, taste and creativity,” Watson said.
Founded in 1923, Hummel jerseys are worn by the Danish national team, Everton FC, Southampton FC, FC Köln, Werder Bremen, Real Betis, and USL Forward Madison and Las Vegas LIghs, to name a few.
The partnership with Hummel will also extend to the Texoma FC Youth Academy starting with the 2024-25 festival year. Watson says the youth uniforms will arrive first, at the end of April, and will be first-team uniforms, but they will still be explicit. Club logo and colours.
Simon Keizer, CEO of Texoma FC, praised the brand’s philosophy: “Hummel’s penchant for offering ‘community through kits’ resonates deeply with our preference for making a local and regional impact with projects and programs that bring it to life. The first thing I’ve noticed is how gifting fabrics to a child generates an inspiring and uplifting smile and joy.
“We are thrilled to share life-changing stories of a spouse who believes we can replace the world, one child, one family, and one network at a time,” Keiser concluded.
