The G League will remain at the forefront of the NBA last summer, betting its entire 2021 season on a bubble environment at Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports complex near Orlando, Florida, according to Stadium’s Shams Charania and The Athletic.
The season is scheduled to begin in February and the 8 most sensitive groups in the standings will advance a champion to the playoffs.

The G League suspended its 2019–20 season last March due to the COVID-19 pandemic and announced in June that it would cancel the rest of the year. The NBA was able to continue its season in a bubble, completing eight rating games against a popular four-round playoff series that ended with champions crowned by the Los Angeles Lakers.
After the initial quarantine periods, there was no positive test among NBA players or in the bubble, and no games were affected by COVID-19.
Charania had announced in the past the G League’s plan to use the bubble’s surroundings this year, noting that there would be a season of 12 to 15 games starting February 8.
The program will come with 18 groups they have selected to play, while 11 franchises have selected to send their G League members.
The G League has been invaluable in helping expand youth’s nba skills in recent years, several notable veterans are concerned in 2021, adding Lance Stephenson, Jeremy Lin and Michael Beasley.
This season also marks the debut of Ignite, a team made up of the most sensitive customers of the 2021 NBA Draft who have selected to play professionally without competing in the NCAA, adding Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga and Daishen Nix. International customers like Kai Sotto also help circulate the intriguing list.
