The Champions League club will now sign a Tottenham player for £28m in January

Tottenham Hotspur loanee Sergio Reguilon has reportedly emerged as a target for Borussia Dortmund.

According to Sky Sport Germany, the Spurs full-back is reportedly being investigated by the Bundesliga club.

Reguilon is in Tottenham’s books but is currently at Manchester United on loan for a consecutive season.

However, the Spurs defender is struggling for game time under Erik ten Hag.

Reguilón has played 10 games for the Red Devils this season, totaling 647 minutes.

The report also claims that the 27-year-old has a clause in his loan agreement that allows him to end his tenure at any time.

With that in mind, the Tottenham kid turns out to be a more attainable target than Real Madrid’s Fran Garcia.

The report claims that Dortmund will struggle to keep the 24-year-old away from Los Blancos despite his lack of playing time.

Reguilon is more than enough for Tottenham’s needs, hence his loan to Man United. But there wasn’t much either.

However, the £28million man appears to have a chance to move to another club – one that’s still in the Champions League, no less.

It certainly looks like a likely move. Reguilon isn’t having a great time at Man United and the onus seems to be on him to call time on the loan spell.

Then Dortmund and Tottenham will have to come to an agreement, although as Spurs don’t need Reguillon much, they shouldn’t have any problems.

Indeed, Tottenham may fancy their chances of including an option/obligation to buy and potentially get Reguilon off their books.
