Chelsea star Armando Broja has hinted that he could follow in the footsteps of some of his former teammates and leave the club this summer.
The striker was loaned out to Fulham in the January transfer window but struggled to find opportunities at Craven Cottage, with the Blues slashing the striker’s asking price in hopes of generating interest.
Broja has inspired in the past, but injuries and shaky performances have forced him to abandon Chelsea’s long-term plans as the Blues need to sign a new No. 9 this summer to compete with Nicolas Jackson.
But the prospect of leaving the Stamford Bridge side doesn’t seem to scare Broja, who can be sure of himself from the way Callum Hudson-Odoi came to life with Nottingham Forest and Dominic Solanke’s sensational crusade with Bournemouth.
Speaking to The Athletic about the duo, Broja explained: “Callum is wonderful and had a primary injury (in his case, to the Achilles tendon) at Chelsea, like me.
“Things didn’t go well, so he joined Forest and now he’s scoring goals and getting back to being himself. They believed in him and that’s what a player wants when he suffers an injury like this.

“Dominic hasn’t played any games at Chelsea or (his next club) Liverpool, but now he has five seasons under his belt at Bournemouth, where he was allowed to make mistakes, play bad games, do the right thing and the right thing. He finished this season as one of the most sensible goalscorers in the Premier League and if anyone needs to buy him, he will charge a lot of money.
“Nothing has happened yet, but if I want to move somewhere else to get my rhythm back, of course I’d like to. As a player there is no greater feeling than being on the pitch and knowing that you have a club and a team that supports you; a club that allows you to make mistakes because they know that you will become something.

“But at the moment my only goal is to give my best for Albania at the European Championship. I am as excited as any Albanian in the world. I can’t wait. “
Broja is unlikely to run out of interest this summer as Europe’s biggest groups keep a close eye on his situation, and a strong crusade with Albania could see his value rise and other big clubs sign up for his growing list of suitors.
