The Club is extremely pleased to announce its return to Japan this summer for the first time in 33 years.

We will face Vissel Kobe, the reigning J1 League champions, at the National Stadium of Japan on Saturday, July 27 according to our arrangements for the 2024/25 season.

The club’s first stop was Japan in 1971, when we embarked on a postseason excursion to play 3 games against an All Japan XI on our first stop in Asia. The last stop was in 1991 after winning the FA Cup in our participation. in the Kirin Cup.

As is the club’s tradition, players and staff will interact with our fans, help with clever motifs and celebrate the local culture during our time in Tokyo. This will come with an assembly with our 3 official assistant clubs representing Japan: Japan Spurs, Osaka. Spurs and Kobe Spurs.

In addition to this, the club’s World Football Development Coaches will deliver our famous local youth player technical programme and coach training workshops, showcasing the original educational strategies developed within the club’s academy, helping young players reach their full potential.

The stopover will also see head coach Ange Postecoglou return to the country where he achieved great success during his tenure at the helm of Yokohama F. Marinos, whom he led to the J1 League name in 2019.
