Liverpool has officially completed the signing of Olympiacos defence Kostas Tsimikas.
The 24-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the Reds and will offer a left-back festival with Andy Robertson.
Liverpool had drawn up a list of four shortlists that included Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly and Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon, but temporarily moved to Tsimikas after two offers were rejected through Norwich by Jamal Lewis on Thursday.
A first component of 10 million pounds was firmly rejected through the Canary Islands before the mind went to Tsimikas after a moment to offer 12 million converted pounds.
The Greek foreigner underwent his medical examination at Merseyside and has now officially presented himself as a Liverpool player.
Tsimikas becomes Jurgen Klopp’s first recruit this summer, as well as the club’s first since the Premier League champions.
The side has already expressed his joy and pride in completing his move to Anfield and is ahead of his move to Merseyside.
“We are Liverpool,” Tsimikas wrote on Instagram, with the “eyes of the heart” emoji.
He added: “What an honor to enroll in this team. I look forward to bring them all together and start this new adventure! #YNWA”
He told the official website of Liverpool FC: “My brother is a Liverpool fan and took me to come here and sign.
“[When] I was a kid, I supported Liverpool. For my total circle of relatives and for my brother, we are very happy.
“I don’t think he [his brother] thinks I’m here. Now, when you see the photos, you’ll notice that I signed here and you’ll be very happy.”
