Juventus are close to signing Teun Koopmeiners after submitting a new and advanced offer for Atalanta.
It has been one of the longest-running soap operas of the summer market. In fact, the Bianconeri’s interest in the Dutchman dates back to January.
The elderly woman managed to reach an agreement with the 26-year-old on private terms. The attacking midfielder can sign a five-year contract that would ensure him 4. 5 million euros per season.
However, Juventus are struggling to meet Atalanta’s asking price. The Dea asked for 60 million euros to compensate for its valuable asset and still has moved forward.
But according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the end of the tunnel may be near for the Turin giants, who have now announced a new bet on their more sensible move goal.
The source shows that the Bianconeri’s new offer is closer to 60 million than 55 million. In other words, Juventus almost matches Atalanta’s asking price.
Furthermore, the Europa League winners have already signed Marco Brescianini from Frosinone and are now on the verge of signing coveted Udinese star Lazar Samardzic. Both players are direct substitutes for the Koopmeiners, as they act as attacking midfielders.
Pedulla therefore considers these two arrivals as a clear indication of the long history of Koopmeiners, which is located more in Turin than in Bergamo.
Koopmeiners has been starring alongside Gian Piero Gasperini since his arrival in 2021. He is now one of the top integral midfielders in Serie A.
