The EFL has written to all 72 clubs in the Championship, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, to provide main points on when enthusiasts can return to stadiums.
The letter refers to Prime Minister Boris Johnson that viewers’ resolve to return to sporting events will be “kept under review. “
Recent legislative adjustments in England have led to a tightening of social gatherings, with no more than 6 other people allowed to meet in a social setting at a time.
The appearance of this news less than a month before the date when fans were expected to return to the stadiums raised those plans in serious doubt.
The EFL letter added that they understood that the next 48 hours will be “critical” in determining how plans will continue to be related to the problem:

The return of boxing enthusiasts has long been a hot topic, as the UK aims to return to normal whenever possible. Clubs felt the pressure, even more so in the leagues under the most sensitive level of English.
Many groups in the declining divisions depend on the proceeds from selling price tickets as their main source of financing. While thousands of enthusiasts pass through tourniquets each week, cash is used to pay staff on and off the field. stadium and amenities when possible.

In an interview with the BBC earlier this year, Bristol Rovers midfielder Alex Rodman said: “I don’t see clubs awarding contracts in this period. “
This has many implications. While clubs used to retain their most productive talent, richer and stronger teams can now take advantage of this unique situation to offer higher wages.
However, the disorders can be even worse. Rodman described how some players live “from salary to salary. “If a club is forced not to be able to pay its players, the meaning can simply be heartbreaking.
The hope is that the next 48 hours will bring good news to the 72 EFL clubs, although, with the re-appearance of restrictions each week, considerations may continue to increase.
