Tuesday, December 22: LA Clippers in Los Angeles Lakers 10 p. m. at TNT

That choice was nailed: the protective champions open their season in Los Angeles opposed to the rival Clippers. LeBron James and Anthony Davis signed contract extensions the off-season, and the Lakers particularly improved their cast of aid. Dennis Schroeder, Wesley Matthews and Marc Gasol will play every key minute of the rotation, but their biggest move moves in the middle of this rivalry: sixth player in the title, Montrezl Harrell, has replaced his loyalty, moving from the red and blue Clippers to the remarkable purples and golds.

LeBron and AD are one of the top unstoppable duos when running on the floor in combination ? https://t. co/a705j6V3aF

That obstacle is just one more challenge clippers will have to overcome after collapsing playoffs in the bubble. Kawhi Leonard is back, Paul George has just signed a major expansion and, in some other turn of the rivalry, Ty Lue, James’ former coach in Cleveland, now leads the Clippers. With Patrick Beverly and Lou Williams back too, LA looks wonderful in the role. But with the way the two groups ended last season, we learned once again that the groups are nevertheless judged in the playoffs. results, not in normal season victories or exaggerations.

The Los Angeles war is the moment that is part of TNT’s double opening night name, will be preceded by Warriors at Nets in Kevin Durant’s first official game after an injury and opposite his former team. Within the NBA of the season, with Ernie, Kenny, Shaq and Charles.

Wednesday, December 23: Dallas Mavericks at Phoenix Suns 10:30 p. m. at ESPN

What is Luka Doncic doing for a recall? The Mavs star won the rookie of the year award, then earned a first-team All-NBA selection in his current season. He will have a heavier burden on his shoulders to start the season, with teammate Kristaps Porzingis recovering from a tear from the right meniscus. in the playoffs. Dallas scored the offensive score in the league last season, so we know they’ll be entertained.

And it will start with a laugh, you will start playing in the opposite game to a young and exciting Team of the Suns, bubble favorites after winning all 8 games and shortly missing the game series. Devin Booker to This Season will join veteran Chris Paul, which will give Phoenix one of the NBA’s most productive rear courts. Wednesday will be the start of Paul’s team. He will bring some leadership to a team of young people. as he did by leading the Thunder to a wonderful playoff appearance last year.

Friday, December 25: Golden State Warriors at Milwaukee Bucks 2:30 p. m. on ABC

NBA enthusiasts are licked this week, with opening night highlights and Christmas Day just 3 days apart. While the Christmas slate is wonderful from the most sensible to the back (see below), we had the Warriors-Bucks, especially after consecutive MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo signed his supermax extension with Milwaukee last week, the biggest contract in NBA history. Christmas will be Greek Freak’s first house game after the deal is concluded. And the fact that he opposes Golden State, a team known for being a flexible agent. fate for him in 2021, is ‘the chef’s kiss’.

Speaking of the Warriors, they’re back after an unforgettable streak last season marked by injuries. Unfortunately, Klay Thompson will miss another year due to an Achilles tendon injury, but Steph Curry is back and we’ll see him, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and second-elelected James Wiseman paint in combination on the court. It will be attractive to see if they are able to regain the arrogance and confidence that has helped them make five consecutive appearances in the NBA Finals. be a correct early indicator.
