It’s hard to have a deciding game against an opponent’s substitutes, but the Green Bay Packers at least reassured their enthusiasts on Thursday night.
If the Packers were looking for reasons to go to bed in a short week to the West Coast, they had many of them. They were four days away from a bad loss of house to the Minnesota Vikings. Test COVID-19. Two other key players could not be had after being considered high-risk exhibitions.
None of this mattered in front of a team of the 49ers that had all their reserve players injured or the COVID-19/Reserve list.
It was a game that any contender in good faith to the Super Bowl not only wins, but wins convincingly. The Packers passed this check with ease.

Adams, who had 10 receptions for 173 yards, leads the NFL with 8 touchdowns despite two games lost and a third due to a hamr tendon injury.
Rodgers had a great game, with a 25-on-31 record for 305 yards and four touchdowns (147. 2).

The Packers were examined this week for adding a receiver to Tuesday’s industry deadline for Adams’ dominance. On Thursday, Marquez Valdés-Scantling emerged as a weapon for now in the aerial game. The Packers defense received some great plays from each of the Smiths. Preston Smith forced an interception on Raven Greene when he hit 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens as he dropped a pass. In the middle of the moment, Za’Darius Smith captured Mullens and recovered a pass. The Packers scored touchdowns after two turnovers, which have not been missed this season.
It’s not the best night. Cornerman Jaire Alexander went halfway with a concussion. The Packers were already corner Kevin King, losing his best school. The right takes Rick Wagner to the left with a knee injury.
Still, the Packers tried a series of adversities in their short week, and seamlessly dismantled a team of 49ers that went even further.
