Our opponents in the Europa League channel have learned their links for the knockout prey excursion.
While we secured a place in the top eight of the competition thanks to last night’s 3-0 win over Elfsborg to book our place in the last 16, our opponents for that stage will be determined in the knockout play-offs next month.
We already know that we will face one of Galatasaray, Real Sociedad, Midtjylland and AZ Alkmaar, and that opponent will be made up our minds thru a pair of two-legged ties in February.
In a draw at the European football house this afternoon, we knew that Az Alkmaar will face Galatasaray, while Midtjylland will face the true society in the playoffs. The winners of equality will pass to the last 16.
AZ Alkmaar vs Galatasaray
Midtjylland vs Real Sociedad
Then there will be some other raffle on Friday, February 21 to which one of us and Manchester United (our twin team in the raffle) will face the playoff playoffs.
