Roma has announced that an agreement has been reached for the sale of the to the Friedkin Group.

The terms were agreed on Wednesday and the main points of the transaction were shown in a statement to CONSOB, the government authority guilty of regulating the Italian stock market.

The Serie A club posted on Thursday on its online page, revealing that the deal is expected to be reached by the end of the month.

Roma President Jim Pallotta said: “I must verify that we have reached an agreement with Friedkin Group for the sale of AS Roma.

“We have signed the contracts and in the coming days we will now paint together to complete the formal and legal process that will result in the replacement of the club’s hands.”

“Over the past month, Dan and Ryan Friedkin have shown their overall commitment to finalizing this agreement and advancing the club in a positive way.I’m sure they’ll be wonderful long-term owners of AS Roma.”

The transaction will cause existing homeowners, AS Roma SPV, to sell their entire capital percentage of 86.6% to the Friedkin Group.

Dan Friedkin, president and CEO of the incoming Property Group, said, “All of us at The Friedkin Group are excited to have taken the steps to be part of this iconic city and club.

“We look forward to completing the acquisition as soon as possible and immersing ourselves in the AS Roma family.”

Roma is in action at the Europa League in Seville on Thursday, after completing his senior crusade in fifth place.
