Manuel Locatelli will miss the Coppa Italia final between Juventus and Atalanta after a sporting ruling confirmed his suspension.
He almost missed the game due to yellow cards, and Juventus hoped a sporting glitch could overturn the decision.
However, the Bianconeri were disappointed, as a report by Tuttojuve showed their disqualification, as the sport proved.
Locatelli has been a vital player for Juventus this season and would have the game if he hadn’t been suspended.
However, Juventus will now have to find a replacement for him as they look to defeat Atalanta in the final.
Juve FC says
Locatelli is a vital player for us and we will miss him in this game, but we are a great club that does not depend on one player.
We expect others to pick up the slack and fill the void they leave behind, and more importantly, we expect everyone to be as productive as possible in the game.
Our players know that this is the trophy we can win this season and we expect them to compete well and win the trophies at the end of the season.
But it will take a lot of work because Atalanta are having a wonderful season and the neutrals believe they deserve to win more than us.
