Tottenham Hotspur FC would have charged Haringey City Council for more than 33,000 euros for using its car park as a food bank during the pandemic.
The Spurs are majority owned by billionaire Joe Lewis and his wife Daniel Levy, who this year raised 7 million pounds, making him the highest-paid coach in the Premier League.
As a component of an effort to “make them proud,” Levy allowed the air-conditioned parking in the basement of the club stadium to be used as a large food center, established through the Haringey Council and run by volunteers, who delivered materials to people. .
However, according to Private Eye, this generosity came at a price. An Access to Information request revealed that Haringey Council had been charged through the stadium’s Spurs as a food center.
