Here’s what we love to see.
When Barnsley, on the Championship side, mocked the arrival of new recruit Herbie Kane, there was only one way to do it.
The club has taken on the influence of the WWE world, channeling its newcomer’s masked namesake and releasing the Red Machine access video with lots of chimney emojis.
Naturally, enthusiasts enjoyed watching Kane get what was right for him and, just 15 minutes later, Barnsley’s social media team made the transfer.
Making their impression more productive of Jim Ross, they shared a photo of former Liverpool player and added, “It’s Kane!”
In statements to the club’s official website, CHIEF Dane Murphy said, “Herbie is a player and we are very happy to have him here at Oakwell.
“He had an education with Liverpool, under the direction of one of the most productive coaches in world football, and showed that he had the quality to compete at this level. “
This happens just weeks after Leicester City used a similar tactic to announce a new arrival, involving Kane’s on-screen brother, The Undertaker, in action.
For their contract with Cenzig Nder, the Foxes recreated one of WrestleMania’s most memorable moments of the Dead Man at King Power Stadium with a hat and trench coat in midfield.
It didn’t take long for other people to put two and two together, and an hour later, Brendan Rodgers’ team showed that they had signed the Rome star loan for the current season.
For wrestling fans, it is an apparent nod to Phenom, who placed his trademark in the middle of the ring after his attack opposing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida.
The wrestling legend heard about the tweet and couldn’t appear on Twitter (because that’s what The Undertaker does in 2020) to recognize the reference.
Sharing emojis of coffins and foxes, he paraphrased his iconic motto and joked: “Digging holes and scoring goals . . . @LCFC (sic)”.
Let’s get the Brothers of Destruction to tear down the defenses next season, please!
