Tottenham have agreed a striker move that paves the way for a much bigger deal, while move guru Fabrizio Romano has shown that Spurs’ move is expected to be finalized today.
It’s no secret that Tottenham are hoping for a successful new addition to the number 9. In fact, manager Ange Postecoglou recently showed that a new leader is being sought in an interview with Football London.
“It’s still the park domain where we’re probably leanest when I talk about it from a team at the moment, so it’s clearly a precedent for us. ” said the Spurs boss.
Son Heung-min and Richarlison were the hallmarks of the central forward role last season. Richarlison blew hot and cold, while Son’s position remains the inside cut from the left flank.
As Postecoglou stated, on-field features are limited of late and the club’s new deal suggests that an available striker will have to and will be signed.
Fabrizio Romano and reliable data in Spain have shown that substitute forward Alejo Véliz will arrive on loan to Espanyol.
The 20-year-old Argentine has already landed in Barcelona (where Espanyol is located) and the deal is already “closed”.
The agreement is for a one-season loan and NO purchase option is included. Therefore, Véliz will return to north London next June.

Véliz will spend the 2024/25 season on loan at Espanyol and the fact that Tottenham are letting go of a substitute striker is a transparent indication that they will bring in a new leader.
Dominic Solanke, Ivan Toney and Jonathan David have been linked in combination of late. TEAMtalk understands that Spurs are in a position to step on the accelerator for Solanke.
Tottenham have no plans to alter Solanke’s £65m release clause. Instead, we were told that a £50m offer would be offered that would come with a player as a refund weight discussed internally.
Solanke is to be willing on the move and talks between Tottenham and his camp have already taken place.
On the other hand, today there are some departures to stick to the departure of Véliz to Espanyol.
Emerson Royal agreed private terms with AC Milan a month ago and discussions between the clubs on the transfer payment and payment design will begin (Wednesday).
An agreement of around 15 million euros is expected to be reached before extensions.
Giving a further update on Emerson following the announcement of Véliz’s transfer, Romano said on X: “Tottenham are signing all the documents for Alejo Véliz to join Espanyol on loan.
“NOT includes termination clause. Back to Spurs in June.
“Next step: direct contact with AC Milan to reach an agreement with Emerson Royal for 15 million euros plus additional fees, we are almost there. “
