Our U21 women’s teams will return to the Professional Game Academy League this month, with just over a week to go until their 2024/25 campaign kicks off.
As part of preparations for the new season, the team and training visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month for a player induction session, which included a new first-year group.
The occasion was given by Nick Hardy, the new Director of Technical Training of the Women’s Academy, who will also take charge of the U-21 team this season.
Competing in the PGA League Southern Division, they will face Arsenal, Charlton Athletic, London City Lionesses, Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Bristol City and Southampton to take up positions from August to October.
The groups from the South and North departments will then be divided into two groups for the second phase of the competition, where the 4 best groups in the segment will be placed in the first department and the rest of the groups in the second department.
The Under-21s will begin their crusade with a match against the Gunners on Wednesday 28 August, followed by the stopover at Charlton Athletic on Wednesday 4 September in the first home game of the season.
For the first time this season, we will publish the full match schedule on our website, as well as full-time results, where we will also provide post-adjustment reports and reactions to the adjustment. You can see the first phase of the gadgets below.
In addition to competing in the league, they will compete in the PGA League Cup, where they were drawn at home to Chelsea in the first round, while also participating in the FA Women’s National League Plate competition, which will give players the opportunity to face more competitive seniors. sides of the campaign.
