Everton’s under-21 squad beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in north London on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts took the lead early on when Will Lankshear scored from close range in the 4th minute. Les Bleus fought back and found the equalizer in the 36th minute Tyler Onyango.
White was reduced to 10 men at the hour mark. Goalkeeper Aaron Maguire sent off.
The Toffees took advantage of the extra merit and took the lead in the 70th minute when Omari Benjamin scored his first goal for the Club.
Head coach Paul Tait made four changes to the squad that beat Fulham 3-1 on Monday. Edward Jones, Kyle John, Onyango and Benjamin were all in the capital’s starting eleven.
The draw was bad for Everton, who were forced to make a substitution with 60 seconds left because Francis Okoronkwo suffered a hamstring injury.
Things went from bad to worse when Lankshear broke the deadlock 3 minutes later.
A comeback along the way, though, as the Toffees rallied to earn all three points against the league leaders.
Tait’s side grew into the game as the first half progressed and enjoyed an era of ownership that led to the equaliser.
A clever team move ended through Onyango in the 36th minute, who came close to converting after Charlie Whitaker threw a damaging ball into the box.
Les Bleus came out on top after the break and came close to the hour mark after Maguire was sent off.
The shooter brought down Onyango to save a scoring opportunity and then gave the marching order.
The resulting free-kick deflected off the post and into the side when Mackenzie Hunt narrowly missed.
Benjamin made his first start for the Club with a goal with 20 minutes remaining, giving the visitors the lead.
A determined and numerous defence ensured that Everton won all three points in the capital, and the referee’s whistle concluded the final minutes from start to finish.
Next up for the young Blues are Leicester City, who arrive at the Big Help Stadium in Southport on Friday (19:00 GMT).
