Tottenham Hotspur have arguably taken a significant step in their plans to offer Ange Postecoglou a new striker this summer.
For the moment, the Spurs have the firepower to accompany Son Heung-min, who assumes a giant component of the team’s goals.
Last season, Son scored 19 goals in the Premier League, with Richarlison (11) and Dejan Kulusevski (eight) in second and third place for Tottenham.
TBR Football recently shared that Richarlison wants to leave Tottenham, further explaining why the club want to take to the pitch.
Alejo Véliz will leave Tottenham on loan from Espanyol, and although the 20-year-old will never play a significant role this season, all the pieces are in position for a new arrival.
That said, journalist Fabrizio Romano has just shared an update on Dominic Solanke.
Tottenham have been pushing to sign Solanke of late, and Postecoglou believes the Englishman is the right fit for top-three compatibility.
And Bournemouth hope to keep Solanke, Romano has just said that the striker is in a position to say yes to Spurs.
Sharing his update on X, Romano said Tottenham were pushing to flag Solanke as “world-class” and that talks had begun.
But most importantly, the journalist shared that Solanke had given the “green light” to travel to north London, a milestone for Spurs.
Romano shared: “I understand Tottenham are pushing for a deal with Dominic Solanke, talks are ongoing with Bournemouth.
“Solanke has given the green light to Spurs while negotiations are underway to reach an agreement.
“Tottenham Solanke, as exclusively revealed last week”.

Tottenham fans are now hoping that the club will have no problems reaching a non-public deal with Solanke, who is obviously in a position to agree a deal.
But the biggest hurdle will be Solanke’s £65m release clause – will Spurs view that as smart value for money?
For a similar price, Tottenham could close a deal for a striker like Viktor Gyokeres, who has a remarkable goalscoring record in Portugal.
Some might think Solanke, 26, is a better fit for Postecoglou, who is incredibly effective in his pressing.
But there will also be Tottenham enthusiasts who think that Gyokeres, or a big name, may be a more ambitious option.
