THERE IS AN HONEST GAME WITH GOODNESS DIVISION I COLLEGE FOOTBALL SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW, AUGUST 29, WHICH WILL AIR NATIONALLY.

As probably all school football enthusiasts know, this season will be one of the strangest in the 151-year history of inter-university football. With the existing COVID-19 pandemic, schedules replace the daily maximum, enthusiasts are limited at times maximum one way or another, and Big Ten and Pac-12 absolutely stopped it in the fall. Player protection is (or at least deserves to be) equivalent to all those decisions. At this point, it is highly unlikely to say who makes the right decision and who doesn’t, only time will tell. Anyway, Baylor is expected to start his season in just over two weeks. Still, game enthusiasts in general deserve to appreciate each and every game we have this season, because no one can say for sure which component of the season will be played. With all this said …

The first game of the school football season will begin in Montgomery, Alabama, and feature a game between the conflicting parties of the I FCS Central Arkansas Division and Austin Peay. The game will have limited participation with only 1500 tickets distributed to staff, circle of family members and sponsors. However, we can all watch and enjoy the start of an unprecedented season with the transmission of the game on ESPN. The start is scheduled for 20:00 CT. And while this game may be an undeniable FCS showdown between groups you may not have heard of, they are two of the most productive FCS groups coming back this year, with any of the schools qualifying for the playoffs last season. In addition, this game deserves to provide a review of how groups will manage the physical condition and protection of players during this pandemic. I think meetings like the big 12 will be held largely as the season approaches.
