Website traffic ratings are largely predictable and governed by global search platforms, e-commerce, and social media giants. However, there are some notable (and even taboo) exceptions, suggesting new insights. The original article can be found further down the page.

For the second month in a row, sports topped our list of the fastest growing sports in July, compiled in cooperation with Similarweb. U. S. policy has also generated significant gains.

The official site of the Paris Olympics, olympics. com, attracted 86. 7 million (M) unique visitors in July, a 407% increase compared to last month, according to estimates from Similarweb. July to August 11.

A Japanese sports website, sportsbull. jp, grew even faster, by 611. 6% to 12. 4 million visitors.  

The audience of the official online page of the Tour de France, letour. fr, increased by 286. 8% to 11. 2 million unique visitors, while that of the sports site betnacional. com increased by 107. 4% to 22. 9 millions of visitors. The peacocktv online page. com, NBC’s streaming service, saw a 79. 5% increase in traffic, at least in part due to its Olympics policy.

On the political front, actblue. com, which increases the budget for United States’s Democratic Party candidates, increased 193. 3% in the month that Kamala Harris replaced Joe Biden as the party’s candidate for president. presidential. Audiences on Democratic-leaning news sites also increased, with rawstory. com increasing by 119. 9% and msnbc. com by 85. 9%.

Meanwhile, the number of fivethirtyeight. com exclusives increased to 97. 6%: the site’s collection and research of the effects of ballots is addictive for political news junkies.

Only two of the 10 fastest growing have no compatibility between the sports and political model: ideal. nl, an invoice network, and hoyolab. com, a virtual gaming network website.

This report is based on research of the 2,000 most crawled Internet sites through Similarinternet, ranked according to monthly growth in mobile and desktop Internet visitors. The effects filtered into spaces that do not constitute a true business expansion.

Sports fashion was the driving force behind the biggest expansion on the Internet in June, with tons of football-related (or football-related) traffic, but with the Cricket World Cup website icc-cricket. com in the most sensible place on the list.

Traffic to icc-cricket. com increased by 284. 4% from May to June and by 504. 7% until last June. The T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 ended in June with a victory for India.

Produced through Similarweb in partnership with Tech Radar Pro, this rating is based on the monthly increase (MoM) in the number of unique visitors to the world’s 2000 most sensible internet sites. For context, we have also shared the year-variation and totals throughout the year. The list has been filtered to exclude spam sites and sites, as well as sites that we couldn’t when we tried to determine them.

Although those sites had a particularly smart traffic month in June, they all also demonstrated a more sustainable year-over-year gain. Traffic to German sports site Kicktipp (kicktipp. de) increased by 1,301. 2% year-on-year.  

The world’s fastest growing online page in May, a Hindi news site, lalluram. com, grew over 800% to 24 million (M) unique visitors, according to Similarweb estimates. This buildup is most likely temporary, as a result of the national elections that ended on June 1, with traffic peaking in the middle of the month.

The score produced in partnership with TechRadar Pro is based on the monthly increase (MoM) in the number of unique visitors, although, for context, we also share the variation and year-over-year (YoY) totals.

Half of the 10 most sensible are news or sports news, led by US sports data Althon Sports (athlonsports. com), up 92% in a month and 476% in a year, to 16. 2 million exclusive visitors.

The rise in popularity of the U. S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s website, noaa. gov, with an 80 percent increase, is also likely due to searches for data on the upcoming hurricane season in the United States and other severe weather events.

Election Season Surge

Lalluram. com has enjoyed renewed interest around the upcoming election, which peaked in mid-May and faded after its effects were announced.  

Last month, cryptocurrencies saw a surge in visitor numbers due to Bitcoin’s renewed popularity in the news. This month, we saw a dramatic increase in user interest in Web3, the blockchain-based edition 3. 0 of the internet, which is decentralized and emphasizes tokens. grassroots economies.  

The world’s fastest-growing online page in April 2024, walletattach. com, an open-source protocol that allows users to attach their crypto wallet to decentralized programs (dApps). The site saw an exclusive growth of 1,815. 1% month-over-month. (MoM) visitors to 11. 3 million people, according to estimates by Similarweb. While our research only looks at English-language websites, Chocozap’s impressive expansion has been 5 times greater than that of other websites in the 10th most sensitive place. The Japan-based company, which offers a budget-friendly micro-gym for beginners and others with busy schedules who need to work comfortably in their spare time, saw a traffic increase of 1,093. 7% in April, with 57. 4 million internet visits worldwide (on more responsive desktop and mobile).  

These are just some of the highlights from our new monthly report on the Internet’s fastest growing sites, produced in collaboration with virtual intelligence company Similarweb. The rating is based on research into the expansion of the number of unique visitors to the sites over approximately 2,000 Internet sites in the world, managed through the MoM expansion. The investigation is limited to English-language websites (with the exception of Chocozap this month) and excludes those selling pornographic content or apparent scams.

Dexscreener. com, a cryptocurrency trading platform, which also appeared last month, ranks sixth on the fastest growing list. This month, the online site saw 32% month-on-month growth, with 4. 8 million unique visitors in April 2024.  

Stake. com was another repeat winner. The online casino and sports betting site are gaining popularity, albeit a bit slower than last month. In April, the site recorded 29. 9 million unique visitors, a 59. 6% month-on-month increase, compared to 77. 9% in March. This slight decline can simply be attributed to the craze at the end of March, which undoubtedly sparked renewed interest in sports betting. Similarweb found that sports betting increased the school basketball championship by up to 20%.  

Basically news sites were presented, specifically cbsnews. com, of US origin, which grew by 27. 6% between March and April (50. 9 million exclusive visitors). The other two virtual posts on the winners’ list were indianexpress. com (34. 0%, 58. 1 million unique visitors) and aljazeera. com (24. 7%, 20. 8 million unique visitors).

Thanks to the US tax season, irs. gov recorded 40. 0 million unique visitors, a 23. 3% increase on a monthly basis. Most of the site’s traffic can be attributed to the months leading up to the tax deadline, as Americans prepare to file their returns. Four of the ten fastest-growing in the global as of March 2024 were crypto trading platforms offering data and knowledge on prices, trading volumes, marketplace cap, and more. Unique visitors to coinmarketplacecap. com higher through just about 86. 5% from February to March 2024, achieving 19. 1 million individuals, according to Similarweb estimates. In today’s fast-moving world, where uncertainty lurks, the need for reliable monetary data and updates has become more pronounced than ever. Data from SEMrush and Similarweb indicates that consumers are actively looking to stay informed, which is driving the expansion of those websites.

SEMrush data from October reveals a wide diversity of rapidly developing Internet sites. Notably, e-commerce giants like Amazon. it and Amazon. in are recording growth rates of 30. 1% and 15. 2%, respectively, reflecting the growing demand for online shopping. The telecom sector is also on the rise with Airtel. in growing at a rate of 22. 3%, driven by increased demand for virtual connectivity. In addition, the news industry shines thanks to Internet sites such as Hurriyet. com. tr and TheSun. co. uk, indicating increased demand for credible news sources. This virtual migration across industries underscores the shift in customer behavior, emphasizing convenience, connectivity, and access to trusted content as key drivers of today’s virtual landscape.

The strong expansion of those Internet sites reflects the conversion of the personal tastes of online users, who now prioritize effective e-commerce, secure communication, and quick access to news and information.

Similarweb insights show another set of thriving websites, with recruitment. co. jp leading the way with a staggering 5,220. 3% increase in monthly traffic. The notable expansion of this Japanese assignment portal can be attributed to the colorful assignment market and the development of online assignment search trends.

Other internet sites like genuinoestate. com. au, sharechat. com, ozcut price. com. au and many more are experiencing a really extensive expansion according to Similarweb. These internet sites cater to real estate, social media, and discounted price searches, respectively. Their expansion is strongly related to the growing demand for them in the virtual age.

According to Similarweb’s analysis, adult sites Xvideos and Pornhub are among the most trafficked in the United States, receiving an average of 693. 5 million and 639. 6 million visitors per month, respectively.

The two giants are ahead of several basic services, Netflix (541 million), Zoom (629. 5 million) and Twitch (255. 3 million).
