These stats show promising production from the Patriots’ offensive linemen.

The New England Patriots offensive line looked remarkably better in the first two games of the 2020 season through 2019.

A major facet was the return of downtown David Andrews, of course, but after Marcus Cannon’s right-wing retreat and the intensity that turned out to be a factor, the Patriots received help through some young players.

Rookie Michael Onwenu and Isaiah Wynn’s third-year left shot, in particular, were some of those who were influential.

Onwenu, the Patriots’ sixth-round pick in 2020, started each of the first two games of the season, either as a right tackler (filling the void left through Cannon) and also as a gigantic closed final when the Patriots left with their heaviest sets like 14 other people (a ball carrier, 4 tight finals).

The 6ft 3-inch and 350-pounder also has statistics on its production.

The University of Michigan product is the high-rated offensive rookie at the time of Week 2, according to Pro Football Focus. Only the First York Jets first-round team, Mekhi Becton, scored higher.

In addition, Onwenu played 21 shots in the right shot (40% of the total shots) as opposed to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 and did not allow a bachelor push, via PFF. snapshots opposed to Week 1 of the Miami Dolphins.

Wynn, a first-round selection in 2017, would probably be more of a player than the Patriots would expect a strong campaign, but their game is still smart to watch.

After wasting time in each of his first two seasons due to injury, Wynn remained in the area to play one hundred percent of the offensive shots in the first two games, including 72 pass-blocking shots, which did not allow for single pressure, through PFF.

The Patriots will in fact be there for the duo to continue this production as they progress, especially with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels focusing on the New England ground game.
