The Spanish midfielder has made a 20 million pound move to Liverpool FC through Bundesliga giant Bayern Munich in the 2020 summer movement window.
Thiago has put the pen on paper in a long-term contract with Premier League champions to finish his seven-year contract with Bayern Munich.
The 29-year-old was linked to a signing for Liverpool FC in the summer play window, as Klopp sought to improve his team before defending his title.
Former FC Barcelona midfielder will have to compete with Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita for a spot in central Klopp.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website, Thiago said he had spoken to Alonso and Coutinho about a signing by the English champion.
“More than football because in the end Liverpool has been what it has been for the last few years, the last few decades,” he said.
“They were amazing, they played and they get up as much every year as they can, as much as they can, as much as we can, that’s what I’m saying.
“More than that, it is the facet of the circle of relatives, the facet of life: what is the city like?What’s life like [here]?
“People like Philippe Coutinho and Xabi Alonso helped me a lot to take this last step. That’s good. “
Thiago won seven Bundesliga titles in his decorated season at Bayern Munich after his move to Bavarian club FC Barcelona in 2013.
The Spanish midfielder won two La Liga and Champions League crowns at FC Barcelona before leaving his training years for Bayern Munich.
Thiago has scored 31 goals in 235 in all competitions for the Bundesliga giants.
Liverpool FC beat Leeds United 4-3 at Anfield last weekend when Mohamed Salah’s hat-trick helped the protective champions cross the line.
