Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as Chelsea’s next manager with Frank Lampard under pressure at Stamford Bridge. Les Bleus have been inconsistent in the Premier League lately, winning only one of his five matches in the competition. So Express Sport will now take a look at everything we know.
On Monday, BILD reported that Chelsea was looking to make Tuchel their next coach.
And they even said they’d be in a position to take office without delay if the Blues lost to Aston Villa.
That obviously didn’t happen, and Chelsea scored only one point.
The PSG today showed Tuchel’s dismissal, stating on its website: “After a thorough investigation into their sporting situation, Paris Saint-Germain has to terminate Thomas Tuchel’s contract.
PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi said below: “I need to thank Thomas Tuchel and his staff for everything they have contributed to the club. “Thomas put a lot of power and entrustment into his work and, of course, we’ll do the good stuff. we share together. I wish you all the most productive for your future.
In the same BILD article, Tuchel is said to be interested in replacing Lampard as Chelsea’s manager.
And that’s because of 3 players.
The German would have liked the prospect of getting hold of compatriots Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Antonio Rudiger.
Havertz and Werner have struggled to maintain consistency since their summer arrivals from Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig, respectively.
Rudiger, meanwhile, has been offside this season.
In 2018, Tuchel connected with Chelsea after Antonio Conte left.
And Rafa Honigstein said he had “made a big impression” at the Supreme Blues Marina Granovskaia.
He said at the time: “I know Thomas Tuchel made a very clever impression on Marina Granovskaia at an assembly they had.
“I don’t know how recent this assembly was.
“Remember, they were talking to him before the start of this season, assuming Conte can just leave. “
Chelsea will not fire Lampard and it is still too early to communicate, according to Andy Townsend.
“I think when Chelsea had smart streaks a few weeks ago, they were able to take the lead and create a really broad advantage in matches,” he said.
“As Frank said, he’s a little short right now. Never mind. This is far from a crisis even though its current form is not excellent.
“The team demonstrated today that there is a very competitive spirit in the camp, that they must create opportunities.
“I think [Christian] Pulisic had played very well for them again, he looked very damaging when he received the ball on his feet. There’s still a lot to look forward to in 2021 if you’re a Chelsea fan. “
