Brazil’s central defender is rumoured to sign a one-year contract with Chelsea after his contract with PSG expired this week.
However, after playing a vital role in the French giants’ career towards the Champions League final, L’Equipe reports that Tuchel is not in a position to let Silva pass without a fight.
PSG’s coach reportedly told the club that he would offer Silva new terms, leaving the 35-year-old with a high resolution to take.
Speaking after Bayern Munich’s last 1-0 defeat in the Champions League, the former AC Milan defender said goodbye to PSG enthusiasts and hinted at a move elsewhere.
A separate report that Chelsea is willing to pay Silva more than 100,000 euros a week to convince him to join.
