Three men have been charged after violence broke out outside Anfield Stadium the night Liverpool FC won the Premier League trophy.
Some enthusiasts showed up outside the stadium to celebrate the Reds by lifting the league trophy for the first time in 30 years, despite a concerted crusade urging others to stay home.
First, the evening did not appear to involve the same large-scale disorder that occurred at Pier Head in Liverpool city center a few weeks earlier.
But then cell phone photographs appeared, featuring two teams crashing on Townson Street, while other videos showed one guy hitting others in the crowd with what appears to be a knife.
