Paris Saint-Germain is in talks with Chelsea about the signing of midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Bakayoko joined Chelsea for 40 million pounds in 2017, but after a first Premier League crusade, he spent the last two seasons on loan at AC Milan and then monaco.
Milan were in talks to resign Bakayoko last month, but no agreement has been reached, with Ligue 1 champion PSG in the race to point to the 26-year-old.
Clubs would talk about the option of a loan or a permanent contract, and Chelsea are likely willing to arrange the payment of a move now with less than two years remaining in the Frenchman’s contract.
Bakayoko made his Ligue 1 career with Rennes, before moving to Monaco in 2014, from where he joined Chelsea. His only foreign appearance with France dates back to 2017.
Chelsea are looking for some of the important expenses they made this summer, with french goalkeeper Edouard Mendy coming from Rennes on Thursday, which fits their seventh signing in the widow’s first team.
