Tottenham are among the clubs looking for talented Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy, who is reportedly very keen to sign for the Premier League.
The 18-year-old has scored an impressive seven goals in 12 league games this season and his form has caught the attention of several European teams.
Aston Villa made a move for Kilicsoy last year but ultimately failed to reach an agreement with Besiktas.
Villa’s sporting director Monchi is a big fan of the teenager and, given his track record of recruiting young players, suggests he has a long and wonderful future ahead of him.
Tottenham need to build a squad that will compete at the top of European football in the long term and one of their priorities for the summer is to sign a new striker.
Spurs never replaced Harry Kane after they sold him to Bayern for £100 million last summer. Richarlison has scored nine goals in his last 10 league games, but Postecoglou is still keen to offer him competition.

According to Turkish outlet Turkiye Gazetesi, Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund are “in their sights” to sign Kilicsoy at the end of the season.
The striker signed a new contract last month, staying at Besiktas until 2028, but board member Feyyaz Uçar revealed that “it will be difficult to keep him for a long time”.
The report states that Kilicsoy “should be transferred to one of the most sensible clubs in Europe after this season”.
The Turkish Under-19 foreigner is “currently taking English lessons” and is “fit to fly”, with Besiktas in a position to compare offers this summer.
Two years ago, Besiktas rejected Manchester City’s €23 million offer for Abdulkadir Omur, who eventually sold to Hull City for just €2. 5 million.
Turkiye Gazetesi claims that the Turkish club need to avoid such a situation with Kilicsoy and need to get as much money as possible for their player.
Kilicsoy is said to have been fined €50 million. However, they are aware that this is “unrealistic” and will serve as a starting point for negotiations with Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund.
With that in mind, it will be attractive to see if Spurs make a concrete offer for Kilicsoy in the coming months.
If the striker lives up to his exorbitant potential, he’ll be worth every penny.
