Tottenham have officially shown that two transfers have been completed, while Barcelona’s transfer has been given the green light, according to a report.
Spurs have spent money this summer, with Archie Gray cashing in £40m to sign for Leeds United and Dominic Solanke not easy to get a £65m package out of Bournemouth. Solanke’s deal is a new club record for Tottenham, topping the £60m charge (£50m plus an additional £10m) to single out Richarlison in 2022.
Swedish sensation Lucas Bergvall officially joined the club on July 1 after his contract expired in the last winter window.
A similar type of move has been agreed for South Korean winger Yang Min-hyuk, who will join his new Spurs teammates in the January 2025 window. Timo Werner has also re-signed via the loan route.
However, today’s update is for two versions shown and a third may be in the works.
First of all, Tottenham have officially shown that right-back Emerson Royal has moved permanently to AC Milan.
Serie A paid 15 million euros to sign the Brazilian foreigner and the operation would mean another 2 million more.
Emerson has signed a four-year contract with a fifth season at San Siro.
Milan initially expected to pay just over €10 million for Emerson, but upped the ante to a more appropriate amount after Alessandro Florenzi suffered a serious knee injury in pre-season.
Pedro Porro is Ange Postecoglou’s undisputed first selection at right back. New signing Gray can fill the role, while Djed Spence is still on the books.
However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham will explore signing a replacement for Emerson and that a Manchester City are on their radar.
Elsewhere, Spurs have shown that striker Dane Scarlett has joined Championship side Oxford United on a season-long loan deal.
The deal is not expected to involve an option/obligation to buy, Scarlett will return to North London at the end of the season.
Reacting to the decision, the 20-year-old told the Oxford club’s media: “I’m delighted to be here and I’m fit to start.
“The team did very well last season (promoted to the championship and the play-offs of league one), and I see here an opportunity for me.
“Oxford was the most productive option for me to come and show what I can do. I am a team player who will look to score goals and we can do that this season.

Another Spurs star who could be on the move is left-back Sergio Reguilón.
The 27-year-old Spanish is left over after loans at Manchester United and Brentford last season.
Reguilon is in the final year of his contract with Spurs and, with no new contract expected, Tottenham will be hoping to cash in while they can.
Sky Sports recently showed that Barcelona knew Reguilón as a viable option for their left-back ranks.
A new update from Spanish media outlet Sport says Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has given the move the green light.
It is stated that a permanent agreement is being sought for a “nominal fee. ” The idea of recovering a small sum for a player signed for £32 million (including add-ons) would not possibly warm hearts in north London.
But given Reguilon’s contract situation and the fact that he is prized by Postecoglou, any payout is better than losing Reguilon losing company at the end of the season.
In addition, a sale would now allow Tottenham to withdraw the player’s salary a year in advance.
