According to a report, Tottenham are willing to sell forgotten winger Bryan Gil to his former club for a fraction of the fees paid.
Gil joined Spurs from Sevilla in 2021 as part of a player deal with more cash that saw Erik Lamela move in the other direction. Gil has no shortage of technical ability and cunning, doubts about his ability to cope with the physical rigors of English football. They were temporarily lifted.
The diminutive Spaniard, now 23, has yet to make a significant impact in north London.
In fact, Gil loaned out twice to Spain via Valencia in 2022 and Sevilla in 2023.
Gil has been retained in Ange Postecoglou’s squad during the current campaign, despite his 11 appearances producing just 221 minutes of action.
Also, it turns out that the winger’s long career with Postecoglou is on the wall, given that he hasn’t played for Tottenham for more than two months.

According to Spanish outlet Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, Gil could return to Sevilla permanently this summer.
As quoted by Sport Witness, Gil is said to be bitter during his time at Tottenham amid his persistent lack of opportunities.
Sevilla may be offering Gil a respite and the club’s sporting director Victor Orta is comparing young wingers who could be acquired for a fixed fee.
In addition to Gil, Orta is said to value Barcelona’s Ansu Fati, who has recently been on loan at Brighton.

Many of the report’s claims make perfect sense, even if the amount of fees Tottenham would be willing to sell for will draw attention.
Spurs are said to be “willing to let him go” for the modest sum of €6m/£5. 15m.
That would mean Spurs would suffer a significant loss for a player they signed for £21. 4m just 3 years ago, and that figure doesn’t take into account the added price of Lamela’s move the other way too.
Sport Witness has concluded that if Tottenham give the green light to sell Gil this summer, they will most likely recoup a sum well in excess of €6m.
