Tottenham are very happy that the disciple of Postecoglou achieves a great deal in the most sensible way

Tottenham have announced that left-back Destiny Udogie has signed a new contract that will see him stay at the club until 2030.

Udogie has been one of his team’s most influential assets this season. The left-back has only missed two Premier League games this season due to injuries and suspensions.

He’s obviously grown a lot since he signed for Udinese and was allowed to return on loan last season.

In fact, it is strange to believe in a Tottenham without Udogie now.

The left-back is part of a very useful defence, which has been dismantled in recent years, with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero spending time on the bench due to injuries and suspensions respectively.

But Udogie has continued flying the flag for the backline – he scored his first Spurs goal in the 4-1 thumping of Newcastle last time out, adding to the two assists he’s provided so far this season.

He’s now been rewarded for his top form at Tottenham.

In fact, they announced that Udogie had signed a new contract.

His new contract will see him stay at the north London club until 2030.

Speaking on the new terms, Udogie said: “I’m really happy because I think to be here at this club is a big joy for me, so I’m really happy for this opportunity and it’s a pleasure.”

“The way the club shows you love, respects you, the players, everybody, so from day one I had one goal: with the team, I’m satisfied with the way it’s going. “
