Tottenham Doherty/Aurier’s signing rejected the transfer of the Wolves

Tottenham announced on Sunday the signing of Matt Doherty from the Wolves.

The Spurs’ ties to the side began to improve this week, with an agreement that has since been quickly negotiated.

Now, in posts on their social media platforms and on their official website, the Lilywhites have shown that the Republic of Ireland has reached a four-year agreement with the club:

The 28-year-old’s arrival at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium allowed Serge Aurier to leave the club.

And, according to a recent report, a point of contact for the Ivorian would in fact have been wolves.

The right-back, however, would have rejected such a decision.

According to the Daily Star:

Tottenham’s volatile defender, Serge Aurier, has rejected a move to the Wolves, starting with the deal that takes Matt Doherty in the other direction.

It is added that Aurier needs to return to Europe, with AC Milan as his favorite destination. German team Bayer Leverkusen is also presented as a possible touchdown point.
