Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes hypothesized the play a few days ago when he posted on his Instagram post that he “went to Eindhoven”.
Unsurprisingly, this led to several stories that suggested that the Brazilian goalkeeper joined his former club PSV Eindhoven, but that is not the case.
The 32-year-old doorman fasted to avoid discussions with a message on his Facebook site.
The Evening Standard quoted the Spurs goalkeeper as saying, “Yesterday I shared a photo and wrote ‘to Eindhoven’, but I said I would go back to the PSV.
“I went because I still have friends there and I went to one of them.
“Everyone knows that PSV is very special to me and I hope to play again one day, but that’s not the case right now. I’ve been as professional as I used to be in the day when I don’t play.
“I still have a contract here until the summer and of course I think I have many years to play at the level.
“Thank you so much for all the wishes I’ve won from my Spurs enthusiasts and the welcome messages I’ve won from my PSV enthusiasts, but I’m still not going anywhere!”
