Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will miss the rest of the Premier League season due to a thigh injury, caretaker manager Ryan Mason showed on Friday.
The 36-year-old Spurs captain, who is in the final year of his contract, has not played since replacing him at half-time of Tottenham’s 6-1 defeat to Newcastle on April 23.
The North London club is on a 4-game winless slide with 4 games to play as they battle for a European spot.
“Hugo is absent during the season. We received the effects (of the tests) and it’s very disappointing,” Mason said ahead of Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. “At first we were a little scared. “
Fraser Forster stepped into the former France international.
Seventh-placed Spurs have lost 3 of their last 4 matches.
