Tottenham Hotspur place ‘sensational’ striker on the list of most sensible targets

Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in Bournemouth bagman Dominic Solanke. It may not be a simple matter, but there is a significant option of the striker leaving the South Coast this summer.

Fabrizio Romano reported in the past that Tottenham were “exploring” a move for Solanke. However, Matt Law has now revealed that they are “trying to progress” following their perfect 19-goal season in the Premier League.

Spurs have already “held conversations” and have placed the “sensational” striker “among the most sensible targets on [their] forward roster. ”  Law goes on to say that Chelsea have also shown interest in their former player, but have been put off by Bournemouth’s height valuation.

Solanke has a £65m clause for some clubs, but it looks like the north London side will try to negotiate a lower price with the Cherries.

The 26-year-old would be the best signing for Spurs. He is the replacement for Harry Kane that Ange Postecoglou has been asking for for a year.

In fact, the former Liverpool player has a very similar profile to Kane. Both players are very complete in their scoring ability, to score with power, positioning, weak foot, headers, shots, shots and acrobatics. Above all, Solanke is very strong in his game of heist and link. It would help Tottenham as it would help create chances for Son Heung-min, just as Kane had done in the past.

From a positional point of view, incorporating an absolute nine would also be beneficial. He’s probably a little lost at first, as he likes to cut inside. The addition of Solanke would allow the South Korean to return to the left wing. Law revealed that Postecoglou needs to sign a “recognized striker” to give him that option.
