Tottenham are showing “concrete” interest in a winger for whom Barcelona has already opened negotiations to sign, and the player’s goal last season suggests that he will delight the fans of the club he joins.
The main target of Barcelona’s move down the wings this summer was Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams. However, the general load of the movement meant that it was practically moved to the Camp Nou.
Williams’ termination clause would amount to 58 million euros. Taking into account the fees of Williams’ agent and the high salary demands, Barcelona is limited to financing the move.
Instead, reports in Spain first floated the idea of Barcelona rescuing Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.
However, the next piece of news emerged that Hansi Flick was focusing on Hull City winger Jaden Philogene. In fact, there have already been talks about an initial one-season loan at Barça.
Philogène, 22, is a wanted boy after a decisive crusade with Hull. The right winger scored 12 goals and provided six assists and one goal in particular will be remembered for a long time. . .
Hull narrowly missed out on a playoff spot by finishing seventh last year.
Philogène has already shown that he is too intelligent to spend the season in the Championship and, according to Football Insider, a summer move is highly likely.
But rather than a move to Barcelona, FI suggests a move to a more sensible part of the Premier League could be on the agenda.
Tottenham are said to have shown “concrete” interest in Philogène, while West Ham will not be out of the race either.
It is claimed that the Hammers have actually started initial discussions over a move, with Spurs appearing to have an advantage.
Philogene is determined to play at the highest point after taking one step back to move two steps forward with his previous move.
Philogene left Premier League side Aston Villa when he joined Hull in a £5m deal last year. The gamble of going down in an apartment obviously paid off, with Philogene now at the top of demand and a player who has taken a big step forward after betting regularly.
Barcelona will participate in the Champions League next year, while Tottenham could offer Europa League football.
Unfortunately for West Ham, new manager Julen Lopetegui does not have European football to attract Philogene to the Club.
If Tottenham are willing to raise hard, bloodless money and thwart Barcelona’s tentative loan plans, Philogene’s long term could well lie in north London.

Former Villa and Tottenham full-back Alan Hutton is part of a developing crowd that puts Philogene at the top.
In an interview with FI in March, Hutton suggested Tottenham make a summer resolution and claimed Villa had made a mistake in allowing the winger to leave for cheap.
“You have to look at the young, experienced players,” Hutton said of Tottenham’s move plans. “There has to be a balance.
“He (Philogène) ticks a lot of boxes and I don’t think Villa let him go, to be honest.
“Their performances have been exceptional, incredible, so they can look to the future.
“Bringing in a young, hungry player who works hard and has the technical ability to match your way of thinking is a step forward.
“But we have to raise that quality now. It’s all about locating the mixture.
