Tottenham already know his “next transfer” this summer after reaching an agreement for Archie Gray from Leeds United, according to reports.
Spurs finalised the signing of Leeds midfielder Gray in a player deal with more cash that saw Joe Rodon return to Elland Road earlier this week.
The 18-year-old Gray has attracted plenty of fans after an impressive season and Brentford saw an offer of around £35m rejected on Sunday.
That opened the door for Spurs to sign the England Under-21 international, who signed a six-year deal with the Premier League club after paying between £25 and £30m to secure their facilities along with the former loanee’s sweetener. Rodon returned to Leeds permanently.
And now, BBC Sport claims that Tottenham “want to sign a striker as the next big signing” after the arrival of Gray, while players like Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon are on the exit ramp.
Wolves winger Pedro Neto will likely be on the list of strikers they will chase this summer, with former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp in the past calling the Portuguese foreigner a “world-class player”.
Redknapp said last year: “I think he’s a world-class player. In fact, they can damage equipment.
And movement expert Fabrizio Romano has shown that Tottenham are interested in the Wolves winger, but they are part of his injury count.
Romano said on his live movement update program: “Pedro Neto and Spurs, he’s one of the names they have on the list. Pedro Neto, of course, the only doubt has been about injuries, so that’s the point to explain about Pedro. “Neto, but he is one of the players they like.
Tottenham boss Angel Postecoglou is proving to be a big draw for players, and Gray reveals that betting on the Australian is a big draw for him.
Gray said on the club’s official website: “It’s clearly a huge club and an opportunity I couldn’t refuse. I’m excited to play and get started with the team. To be honest, I haven’t figured it out yet, I don’t think so. “This will be the case in the coming days.
“Maybe until we play some games, until I get to know everyone, it might not happen. I’m excited and looking forward to it. It’s a great opportunity for me and that’s why I’m excited. “
