Tottenham pair Rodrigo Bentancur and Dominic Solanke left fans after colliding in the domain as they lined up to shoot in their 2-2 draw against Wolves.
The Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou entered the clash of his side with the massive tension of the wolves after the consecutive defeats to Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.
They kicked off in the bottom half of the Premier League table with nine defeats from 18 games.
And things got even darker for the north London fans when Hwang Hee-chan fired home to give the visitors the lead.
Bentancur tied a header in a corner, the calamitous incident between Uruguayan and Solanke.
When the ball rolled on the box, they ran on it and turned away.
Fortunately, the flag went up for offside in the build-up.
But that did not stop fans from making fun of the hapless moment.
One said: “Solanke shoving Bentancur off the ball (or was it the other way around?) is the most Spursy thing I’ve ever seen.”
Another added: “That Bentancur-Solanke collision in the box sums up our whole season lmao.”

A third responded, “If you can only describe the spurs in a clip. . . Solanke and Bentancur are aiming for the same ball ?. “
While a fourth responded: “The way Solanke and Bentancur got here together, the comedy is on display on Earth. “
Spurs came forward for Brennan Johnson, but then conceded the goal through Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Postecoglou needed a win here after a run of just one win in six league games left his injured look languishing in the middle of the table.
It looked like he had it after goals from Bentancur and Johnson before halftime negated Hwang’s first goal.
But Strand Larsen arrived at the rescue to keep the undefeated record of Vitor Pereira since he took over.
And that left Postecoglou, whose team was booed at full time, on the shaking floor as president Daniel Levy watched from the stands.
Pereira had such a fast effect on Wolves from her successions through Gary O’Neil just before Christmas that doors enthusiasts sang their call before kicking.
They were setting it up after seven minutes when Hwang broke the deadlock.
South Korean begins his first league match since August as praise for his fatal goal against Manchester United in Boxing Day.
Their attack showed no signs of rust, while Rayan Ait-Nouri rolled a loose kick on the edge of dominance and Hwang did the rest, tired magnificently at the post.
The Spurs were looking to claim a foul on Santiago Bueno’s Johnson in the buildup, but it looked positive at best.
Matheus Cunha, who had won the first free kick, the Wolves star in a dull campaign.
And the Brazilian showed why he’s coveted through the likes of Arsenal with some quality tips and Champions League videos in the first half.
The Spurs responded five minutes later with a corner taking regime that had opposed Ipswich last month, even if the spurs defeat in that game was overlooked.
Unlike the Tractor Boys, Pedro Porro sent the ball to the near post where Rodrigo Bentancur went over the top to crash his head.
Spurs were not betting well and still kept creating chances.
Radu Dragusin deserved to have tied with a header from another joint corner that whistled next to the post.
Yves Bissouma jumped over the bar when Kulusevski passed it to him.
While there was a farcical moment when Solanke and Bentancur clattered into each other trying to latch onto the same cutback from Kulusevski, who was offside anyway.
They are Heung-min not seemed a compatibility for a time, while now contemplates the service they provide to spurs for more than ten years.
He doesn’t count here until, out of nowhere, he presented a golden chance to give Spurs the lead.
Johnson had been unnecessarily tripped by Andre in the box, so he tried to latch on to Kulusevsi’s varied pass.
He recovered the ball as a penalty shooter, but as Erling Haaland opposed to Everton last week, the scorer seemed so sure we feared that a failure occurred.
So it proved as his tame effort to Jose Sa’s right was repelled by the Wanderers stopper.
Posttecoglou will have felt that things are going to do so.
But Johnson then gave him some breathing room in the third minute of first-half stoppage time.
The Welshman played a one-two with the excellent Kulusevski – who at times seemed to be carrying Spurs – and then smartly converted the return pass for 2-1.
Wolves were dealt a surprise blow when Cunha was part of a double-sub at half-time and was spotted soon after with ice under his left knee.
While Posttecoglou could not really be lucky when Destiny Udogie was injured the Corva’s tendon, given the annihilation of his defense.
The Italian cautiously stepped away to be replaced by the less tarnished Sergio Reguilon, who makes his first league appearance for Spurs since April 2022.
Since then, he has been provided to Atlético de Madrid, Manchester United and Brentford.
The smart money is on him being shipped out permanently next month too, although Spurs may have to assess the damage to Udogie first.
Both groups were tired and lacked quality in a clumsy half of the moment.
The spurs were desperate to see it, however, in 87 minutes, Rayan Ait-Nouri slipped into the Larsen that curved the ball beyond Fraser Forster on the roof of the network.
Spurs old-boy Matt Doherty almost nicked all three points too for the visitors but his header was repelled by Forster.
But Strand Larsen’s strike was enough of a hammer blow to Postecoglou – who also saw Bentancur pick up a fifth yellow of the season with a wild late tackle on Rodrigo Gomes, meaning he is now suspended for Newcastle.
When it rains, it pours.
