Tottenham on Tuesday signed Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Danish foreigner underwent a medical examination on the club floor on Monday.
He has signed a five-year contract with Jose Mourinho’s team for 20 million pounds.
Hojbjerg will wear the number five shirt that became vacant thanks to Jan Vertonghen, who left the club at the end of the season.
After completing his movement, Hojbjerg told Tottenham’s official website: “How vital to me is that I sought to play in a club where I can see myself for many years. Tottenham was the only one. I am very proud, very happy, excited.
“I think there’s a long way for the club and I’ve been looking a lot to be a component of it.”
He also got goodbye to his old club via Twitter.
