Tottenham striker ‘sure’ to leave after one season, with European giants ‘ready’ for summer

Unfortunately, Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura is now “confident” to leave the club at the end of the season, according to reports.

The Brazilian himself is in the Spurs’ pecking order this quarter and with his contract expiring in June, his departure is now inevitable.

Moura’s availability in a loose move has stalled that of several European clubs. But now, you’re leading the race for your signing.

Indeed, according to reports from Turkey, Tottenham’s departure from the 30-year-old is “safe” and Fenerbahce are “preparing” a move for him.

The report added that the Turkish club is “ready to mobilize all its resources” to conclude the deal. They also expect the negotiations to be finalized “quickly. “

Fenerbahce reportedly intends to offer Moura €3 million according to the season, as a component of a two-year contract, plus an option for an additional contract.

Moura, however, would rather end the crusade at Spurs than opt for his next destination.

As mentioned, Moura discovered himself in the pecking order at Tottenham.

This season he has made 12 Premier League appearances, all coming off the bench.

This is largely due to the additional festival for its position. For example, Richarlison’s arrival from Everton last summer did not help their cause, just as Spurs pointed to other attacking players such as Dejan Kulusevski and Arnaut Danjuma.

However, Moura has played a key role for Tottenham over the years. In total, since joining the club in January 2018, he has played 218 times, scoring 38 goals and providing 27 assists.

He was an important player under Mauricio Pochettino in particular, helping his side triumph in the Champions League final in 2019.

However, the Brazilian is now “sure” to leave the London club, in a moment of relief for the Spurs fans.

In fact, president Daniel Levy lately is looking for a new coach. It comes after head of transitional Cristian Stellini was sacked on Sunday after Newcastle beat Tottenham 6-1 at St. James’ Park.

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is lately one of the favourites to take over the charge. Former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann has also indicated his willingness to take over at the start of next season.

In addition to a new head coach, Levy is also tasked with appointing a new director of football, so he has a number of keys to do in the coming months.

What is inevitable, however, is that Moura will not be at the club next season, with Fenerbahce now the favourites to sign him on a loose transfer.
