Phoar, what a night of action.

I wish I could communicate about it all night, but unfortunately the time has come to go our separate ways. Gut, I know.

But I won’t leave without parting comment, don’t worry.

Liverpool traveled today to northern London knowing that he needed a victory after winning two games.

After Chelsea gave up on things at Everton, they were lucky to get four clear things at most with a game in hand.

Damn it, my God, did they take advantage of this opportunity?

Arne Slot’s staged a clinic as Luis Diaz and Mo Salah either scored a brace, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister also locating the net.

In truth, it may have been a lot more, but they were still a little scared when Spurs got some goals in the end.

Everything they ended up doing a little less painful beatings for the hosts.

Anyway, that’s your lot now until Christmas.

I hope everyone has a glorious vacation and eat all the minced meat cakes that can, in all likelihood, put in their mouths.

Merry christmas!

Now, this is a difficult setting to summarize, right?

Well, our soccer editor Ian Ladyman gave him a crack more than brilliant after having witnessed 90 chaotic minutes.

Its first line tells you the full story, but don’t let that stop you from reading.

With the number of goals there were, there was a lot to comb through.

It is not surprising to see the Liverpool players smiling.

I have already explained how good both Dominik Szoboszlai and Mo Salah were today, and it seems like their selfie skills are up there too.

Not a day for them, huh?

Was Dominik Szoboszlai today?

The Hungarian has had a topsy-turvy time at Liverpool, I think it’s fair to say.

He started his career at Anfield brilliantly, but enthusiasts have been looking for more from him over the past 12 months.

Well, they were given today.

Through Szoboszlai’s most productive functionality in the red shirt, very good tonight.

From minute one, the midfielder hunted down Tottenham players with real hunger and kept winning the ball.

When he had it, it was also brilliant. He marked one and could have marked two more problems, and connected the play incredibly well.

Superior performance.

By Harry Bamforth

All of us love Tottenham play, don’t we?

If you are a neutral watching this Spurs side, you are always treated to an absolute cracker of a match.

Today, they played their part in a mystery of objectives just days after beating Manchester United 4-3.

Yep, there have been 16 goals in their last two matches. Bonkers.

Tottenham’s matches in the Ange Postecoglou Premier League have featured an average of 3. 6 goals scored per game.

Among those to take charge of 50 or more games in the competition, this is the highest goals-per-game rate for any manager.

Tottenham enthusiasts were in hell, that’s safe.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports:

By Harry Bamforth

Yes, he beat record.

Every week I cover Liverpool, there will be a post about Mohamed Salah breaking some sort of record.

There is an explanation why it is because he is in the shape of his life.

Tonight Salah became the first player ever to reach double figures for both goals and assists before Christmas in a Premier League season.

He has been relentless this season, now has 15 goals and 11 assists in the league and is top of the table in both cases.

This is the sixth Premier League season in which Mohamed Salah has scored and assisted 10 or more goals; That of all the players in the history of the competition.

I mean, I no longer have superlative for this man.

By Ian Ladyman At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Harry Bamforth

Apologies on my behalf for the sub-heading, but I just had to.

It will be the 21st time that Liverpool is in the maximum sensitivity of the high English flights on Christmas day; The maximum everywhere.

They’ve earned the name in 11 of the last 20 seasons, so just over a 50% fortune rate.

Not many other people would bet on doing 12 of 21, I wouldn’t.

It is surprising how well they do under the Arne slot, sown temporarily after his arrival.

When the season started, if you told me they would be four points clear at the top of Christmas with a game in hand, there is no way I would have believed you.

They have proved me, and a lot of others, wrong.

By Harry Bamforth

Gary Neville, former Man United captain, on Sky Sports:

By Harry Bamforth

Even if I told myself that we were entertained, I would be the first to admit that I expected that.

Liverpool really were rampant, weren’t they?

Tottenham would not have the most productive defense, but crushing them six that exceeds them from the house is spectacular.

I think that’s what you call a Christmas cookie . . . I’m sorry.

You must feel for all editors who have to put the highlight package in combination for this game.

But it will be a great watch. Certainly for Liverpool fans.

By Harry Bamforth

What a match we have just witnessed.

While there is a lot to get through, we just have to start with how Liverpool went.

For 70 minutes, the imperative aspect of Arne slot, tearing Tottenham apart at will.

Although the end of the match was a bit chaotic for his liking, it is still a victory.

They pass the most sensible in the Premier League at Christmas with a game in hand, and my word is passing to be difficult to keep.

Liverpool look a bit like champions (or is it too early?)

By Harry Bamforth

And breathe…

I can’t find the words to describe the 90 minutes, overall carnage.

At the end of all this, Liverpool sent six spurs from home to make 4 problems obviously in the most sensible of the Premier League.

Not a bad Christmas provision for those dressed in red.

By Harry Bamforth

It would possibly sound weird, but I’m not sure Arne Slot is too pleased with this Liverpool performance.

He’s a manager who likes him and the Reds ended up being dragged into a looping adventure when they were inarray

It is interesting to see what it says full time.

By Harry Bamforth

Ah, that is disappointing.

We are only going to get to watch five more minutes of this chaotic contest.

I wish it could just go on forever, I already can’t wait until the Carabao Cup semi-final.

By Harry Bamforth

Tottenham are the most ridiculous team in the history of football. There, I am saying it.

They find themselves as if they believe they can recover all 3 objectives.

They nearly get one but Alisson gets low to deny Brennan Johnson.

I really can’t believe what I am watching, it’s so silly.

By Harry Bamforth

The Arne slot machine is entertaining. . .

The Dutchman fired Mos Salah and Luis Díaz the day after the goal.

What an afternoon they had, they deserve the name Guy of the Match.

By Harry Bamforth

Well, it lasted a while!

Tottenham love giving us crackers and those last 10 minutes show it perfectly.

Luis Díaz has his moment and guess what? It was provided to him through none other than Mo Salah.

Are you entertaining?

By Harry Bamforth

What’s going on???

Tottenham are somehow alive and kicking and Dominic Solanke has clawed back another goal.

It’s a lovely finish to turn home Brennan Johnson’s header to give Sopurs some belief.

It has become a game and I can’t. I am writing this.

What intellectual spurs they are.

By Harry Bamforth

Dejan Kulusevski is pretty much the Spurs player who can hold his head up after that.

He has been the player who has caused disruption for Liverpool and continues to drive Tottenham forward.

He is a player.

By Harry Bamforth

I don’t feel like noticing the last scorer yet.

Liverpool are looking for another one and have become more end-to-end as at the beginning of the first half.

Dominik Szoboszlai gets on the end of a lovely ball but can’t keep his header on target.

Moments later, Trent Alexander-Arnold saw a cross-shot stored through Fraser Forster.

By Harry Bamforth

Oh, that’s six for Liverpool.

Tottenham are throwing bodies forward and that means plenty of area for Liverpool to counter themselves.

Mo Salah sends Luis Diaz galloping and sees Fraser Forster running, so let’s go through the balloon.

It goes so high and falls in time.

By Harry Bamforth

It’s never over until it’s done and Tottenham supporters look to it to inspire their team.

The weird thing is about this side, you can’t rule them out from getting another here.

If they do, it will be interesting.

By Harry Bamforth

That’s a lovely finish from Dejan Kulusevski!

No matter how much Tottenham get hit, they will keep moving forward.

Kulusevklsi fires a great shot past Allisson, but doesn’t even raise a smile as he heads toward the Midway line.

Surely they can’t come back from that, right?

By Ian Ladyman at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium

By Harry Bamforth

Arne’s slot makes the decision to rotate the roster because why not?

Diogo Jota gets the second round when replacing Cody Gakpo, while Curtis Jones replaces Alexis Mac Allister.

Barely degraded . . .

By Harry Bamforth

I give Joe Gomez a quick word.

The central defense of Liverpool has been sensational so far and once back he plays a great role in the rear.

Many were worried when Ibrahima Konate got injured against Real Madrid, but the Reds are in good hands.

By Harry Bamforth

It may still be much, much worse for Tottenham.

Liverpool are hungrier and Trent Alexander-Arnold unleashes a very spicy effort from 35 meters.

Fraser Forster made him go through the position, but moments later, Luis Díaz tried it again.

It’s relentless, I can’t stay awake.

By Matt Barlow at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium

By Harry Bamforth

Liverpool is in the land of dreams!

I cannot how good the reds play, they are tearing Tottenham in pieces.

Mo Salah has his moment at night and is TAP-in after scanning the counter.

Cody Gakpo plays in Dominik Szoboszlai, he slides it across to Salah and he makes no mistake.

If this were a boxing match, it would be over.

By Harry Bamforth

James Maddison is a satisfied guy at all.

The Tottenham scorer sees his number in the air during the fourth official and looks down at the ground.

He is replaced by Brennan Johnson while Lucas Bergvall is on for Pape Sarr.

This is not the easiest game for these youngsters to come into.

By Harry Bamforth

How did Dominik Szoboszlai not succeed in fifth place?

I was about to press the goal button as the Hungarian races through one-on-one, but no, he goes around Fraser Forster and can’t find the net.

I mean, If his side hadn’t already scored four I think he’d be a little more annoyed.

The way things are going, he will have some other chance, I’m sure.

By Harry Bamforth

Mo Salah achieves his goal!

Liverpool really are ripping Tottenham apart here and it’s now becoming a proper battering.

They glide away on the counter with Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz playing a give-and-go.

Dominik Szoboszlai returns in the Gakpo half, but Salah is there for the simplest purpose of his career.

It’s getting messy now.

By Harry Bamforth

The yellow card is out again.

Dominikl Szoboszlai will now have to leave after preventing a Tottenham counterattack.

I still just can’t get over how quiet this stadium is, it’s utterly bizarre.

Even when that could was made they barely made any noise at all.

By Harry Bamforth

It doesn’t feel like the Tottenham fans in this stadium feel there is a way back into this match, they are just so deflated.

When this place changes, it can replace games, but there are no symptoms of that here.

By Harry Bamforth

Trent Alexander-Arnold hosts a passing masterclass.

The rear sprinkles them in the flavor in the park and just presented a ball at Dominik Szoboszlai.

When he plays like that, there are many better ones.

By Harry Bamforth

This breakup was pretty quick, right?

The two teams are back out on the turf and there have been no changes from either manager.

And now we are back underway.

Can Tottenham come or will Liverpool continue to strut?

By Harry Bamforth

Tottenham’s defensive record, Ange PostoCoglou, is pants.

Yes, they may sound harsh, but it’s true.

Today, Tottenham admitted the first purpose in 14 other house games in the Premier League in 2024.

This is the maximum set through a team per natural competition.

You can’t win anything when you keep need to come from behind.

By Aadam Patel At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Harry Bamforth

Mo Salah just always has his say.

He probably wouldn’t have scored any of Liverpool’s goals, but of course he managed to provide an assist.

Salah’s preparation for Dominik Szoboszlai at the end of the part that has contributed to goals in his last nine Premier League games.

It’s ridiculous, right?

By Harry Bamforth

When Liverpool are at their best, my word is to watch.

Arne Slot’s side have played some of the best football I have seen this season and this third goal was just beautiful.

I get the idea that Mo Salah made a bad move when he brought in Dominik Szoboszlai.

Wow, I’m wrong, huh?

Liverpool fans, watch and enjoy this lovely bit of footie.

By Ian Ladyman at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium

By Harry Bamforth

There is a handful of shouts and the half-time whistle disappears.

Tottenham were dominated by the league leaders and Dominik Szoboszlai’s goal before the break made it very difficult for them now.

The Reds were on fire and may have even scored more that day.

They are cruising in north London.

By Harry Bamforth

What do I know, huh?

Liverpool closed me with one of the team’s top goals that they will see this campaign.

They run the field with pleasure and MO Salah slides Dominik Szoboszlai for the third.

Normality has resumed.

By AADAM Patel at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium

By Harry Bamforth

This purpose has replaced the environment in this stadium.

This position was as flat as a pancake as they watched their team fight.

But they now have some hope and the fans have woken up.

Liverpool is the team that now wants half-time, which is anything I would think I would say.

By Harry Bamforth

Out of nowhere!

It’s a display of terror from Liverpool and they turned their backs on the hosts in this game.

Alexis Mac Allister loses on the edge of it and James Maddison sends the ball into the corner.

A terrible goal and we have a game.

By Harry Bamforth

The Liverpool fans in the corner are in festive spirits.

They are currently rattling off their own version of ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’.

If your team continues to play like this, it will be a very merry Christmas for them.

By Ian Ladyman at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium

By Harry Bamforth

Liverpool have their second!

Alexis Mac Allister tries to overcome a guy with one more foot than him to give the reds an abundant advantage.

This is a great play of Liverpool when they play the ball backwards, starting with Joe Gómez.

Andy Robertson then sends the ball into the back post that Dominik Szoboszlai signals to Mac Allister from 3 yards.

Now it’s a long back for Tottenham.

By Harry Bamforth

Liverpool are playing some lovely things today, it’s the most productive they’ve seen since the start of the month opposite Man City.

They have just strung together a brilliant few passes to beat the Spurs press out the back.

Nice, great football.

By Adam Patel at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium

By Harry Bamforth

We have our first reservation of the day and it will be for Cody Gakpo.

This reaches the end of a very promising counterattack of the reds that deserve to do better.

Rayn Gravenberch slides the ball to Gakpo, but he loses it and lashes out trying to win it back.

He succeeded.

By Harry Bamforth

Tottenham is holding on here.

Liverpool have corralled them into their own box and are frequently pumping in damaging crosses and passes.

But in a way, the spurs are alive.

They have to go through the next ten minutes or they’re going through to have genuine problems.

By Ian Ladyman At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Harry Bamforth

Luis Díaz started today.

This is his best performance in some time and he comes close to grabbing a second in a matter of minutes.

He sends a shot into the corner at a slower than certain speed, but Fraser Forster does well to cross it and repel it.

By Matt Barlow at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Adam Patel at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Harry Bamforth

The Tottenham is going to contain in search of the draw.

They try to respond instantly and Dejan Kulusevski cuts in on the edge of the area.

It gets a decent flex effort, but it doesn’t fail the target.

We have one in our hands, all.

By Harry Bamforth

What a purpose it is!

That is Trent Alexander-Arnold at his very best as he swings in a sublime cross for Luis Diaz to head home.

The ball is simply;

It’s a lovely header too from Diaz and nobody is taking that one away from him this time.

The leaders lead in London.

By Ian Ladyman at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Harry Bamforth

This is to season a lot and I love it!

Spurs enthusiasts boo when Domink Szoboszlai and Son Heung-Min reunite with the Spurs captain to escape.

The referee shakes his head and Liverpool counterattacks, the play is offside.

It was from beginning to end, as we all expected.

By Matt Barlow At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Adam Patel at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Harry Bamforth

So, to Liverpool’s starter.

The Tottenham continues to give balls and this time Salah is paid.

He shifts the ball onto his right foot with three players on him and does brilliantly to get a powerful effort away.

It looks like it’s heading inside, but the cannons are moving off the bar.

By Harry Bamforth

The chances came now and Tottenham scored the first of the game.

Pape Sarr shoots diverted and then Liverpool passes directly at the end of the counterattack.

Mo Salah takes two cherry bites after completing the move, both efforts are blocked.

This game above.

By Harry Bamforth

Liverpool turns out to be threatening for the future, really.

Luis Diaz does really well to pinch the ball from Pedro Porro after a ball is clipped over the top.

He returns it to Cody Gakpo on the edge of the area, leans back and sends the ball to the stars.

The Dutchman does it better.

By Harry Bamforth

Djed Spence is doing well in his battle with Mo Salah at the moment.

While Salah still has space, Spence turns out to be there to avoid it in her steps.

This will be a key war in this game.

By Harry Bamforth

Oh, my word, what about Trent Alexander-Arnold!

the Liverpool full;-back sees a ball that nobody else in the ground can spot to clip through Mo Salah.

Salah just wants to lend a hand from six yards but is smothered through Fraser Forster.

The ball reaches Dominik Szoboslzai and his attempt is blocked.

By Harry Bamforth

You are certainly not going to see Fraser Forster change to kicking it long, no matter the mistakes he makes.

Since his early error, he has played some nice clipped passes, even while under pressure.

You have to greet your courage.

By Harry Bamforth

By Harry Bamforth

Liverpool is very good here.

They are all over Tottenham like a rash and now Luis Díaz makes the decision to make a pop. It’s a decent effort, but he drags it well off the post.

The Tottenham fans have fallen silent, the nervous energy is apparent.

By Aadam Patel at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Harry Bamforth

Fraser Forster, what are you doing?

The Tottenham keeper has a stinker in midweek and it takes him just three minutes to make his first big mistake.

He clips the ball straight to Mo Salah and immediately has to backpedal, but luckily for him Salah firs into the side-netting.

There are massive groans from the home fans.

By Harry Bamforth

Tottenham trembles a little on their backs.

The improvised defense puts tension on Liverpool in front of the gun and Cody Gakpo wins the ball over the field.

The ball then sent Mo Salah, but he couldn’t get the ball out of his feet.

By Harry Bamforth

I am well up for this one, and so are the fans inside the stadium.

The Tottenham fans sing a nice, sweet song before James Maddison starts this Christmas cracker.

Who will come out on top?

By Aadam Patel At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Harry Bamforth

Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium is a hive of noise.

The players enter the pitch with a huge roar from all four stands and it has got me pumped up.

Sadly I have to listen to the Premier League anthem briefly, but all is made right as techno music is blasted out.

If you know me by now, you’ll know I love electronic tunes.

By Harry Bamforth

Oh, Luke, hold. You make me blush.

The challenge is that a few hours ago, my coworker Luke calmed me down for my skills. . . Now he’s looking to be cool.

Either way, you don’t care how I can play the game I’m talking about, or maybe you do.

The stars that pay me to the canopy are now moments away from speaking on the field as the environment breaks down.

there is currently a lovely light show going on.

By Luke Power

Big news here at Mail Sport HQ – Harry Bamforth is forcefully seizing control of this blog from me.

I heard that he was a charmer in ancient times. Almost as smart as Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Good for everyone.

Harsh words?

By Luke Power

It’s easy to say for the manager whose playing style is ripped to pieces, but it’s clear that Postecoglou stands behind his philosophy. Worth listening to his views in this clip where he defends his attacking style. This man isn’t going to change.

By Luke Power

Well, we have a lovely video of Liverpool arriving at the stadium and the only thing that stands out is the amount of gum he is gnawing.

Does it provide a mental benefit? Is it full of nutrients? Perhaps a concept of capability in this area: how Arne Slot gets Liverpool fired thanks to a bubblegum revolution.

I understood the call.

By Ian Ladyman at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

So one for statistics.

So far, there have been nine Premier League matches this weekend and one Homewin (Aston Villa) and four goals have been scored.

The home and away team aggregate ahead of kick-off here at Spurs is 4-19.

Keep in mind what you can say.

By Ian Ladyman at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium

The first thing he points out here is that the chances at Manchester United have reverberated through Tottenham’s press room.

It may be 13 years since United won the Premier League but their continued struggles remain as fascinating as ever.

As for this game, Liverpool have returned to one more line-up after their Carabao Cup win at Southampton midweek and I’m interested in the continued exclusion of back centre Jarell Quansah.

He almost went to the Euros with England (he was part of the original team) and started the first game of Arne’s tenure at Ipswich in August. But he got hooked at half-time and has barely been noticed since then.

Joe Gomez gets the nod ahead of him again here in the absence of Ibrahima Konate.

By Luke Power

Dear oh dear.

The spurs come for many teasing and do not help. Fans were forced to see a marketing coup around the successful exhibition of Netflix “Squid Game” in the stadium.

Income, yes, you can imagine. Points for freshness and aura?Absolutely none. Nothing.

By Luke Power

There is nothing like abysmal statistics.

Look at that. Tottenham have won just two of their last 25 games opposite Liverpool. Yes, you read that right. Two. They lost 17. In terms, it wasn’t a laughing game opposed to Jurgen Klopp for North Londoners.

The fact that Liverpool has lost one of its 24 games in all competitions causes this crusade to increase even more likely against Spurs.

By Luke Power

Oh, Trent. Are you in or are you out? Maybe somewhere in the middle.

Alexander-Arnold joined the Men in Blazers podcast this week and talked about building a “legacy. ” You can read their comments, either as encouragement that will stay or the other one around.

He was asked what his dreams looked like now.

‘Of course, winning more trophies. But on a personal level it is building a legacy. That is something that is important,’ he said.

Asked what he meant by that, he clarified: ‘Just being spoken about in the highest regard, especially after you’ve finished [playing]. In 10 or 15 years, if I’m spoken about as one of the best right backs or the best right back then that’s what I’m playing for now and using it as motivation.’

Liverpool fans hope this legacy rests on the stone of Anfield.

By Luke Power

Liverpool are imperious but don’t write off Spurs. Need any encouragement for that? Just check the Man United score – it’s 3-0 to Bournemouth.

The Premier League always offers surprises; United’s defeat is possibly not a big surprise these days. Rubén Amorim had not lost a league game all year at Sporting CP. He hasn’t been as classy at United.

By Matt Barlow at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

That’s Spurs unchanged from the Carabao Cup QF and a huge show of faith in Djed Spence.

This time last week he had not started a game for the club. Now he is about to start his third in eight days, ahead of Destiny Udogie and up against Mo Salah and the PL leaders.

He took a step forward very well when it was necessary through Angel Postecoglou, who was obviously not convinced that he was intelligent enough. This is your greatest proof.

By Luke Power

And what about that, Spurs fans? An interview with Archie Gray.

He’s the guy of the moment for Tottenham, and he’s still slipping back as they struggle with an injury crisis. Leeds had an ability on their hands, Spurs snatched it and now they’re reaping the rewards of this flexible college-age star. .

By Luke Power

Postcoglou must have liked what he saw against Manchester United because he made the bold decision to name precisely the same team three days later to face a much-rejuvenated Liverpool.

Of course, his options are limited. Archie Gray starts again as a makeshift centre-back – not that you’d be able to tell that he doesn’t usually play there from his performances so far.

By Luke Power

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Diaz, Gakpo

Mohamed Salah is lucky to identify another top league record today as he becomes just the first star in the festival’s history to record double goals and assists before Christmas Day.

He has thirteen goals and nine assists lately, so he just wants one teammate.

Who knows, with his long career in the air, this may be his last chance to break that record.

By Aadam Patel at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

By Luke Power

Few of those who were there will be quickly forgotten.

Liverpool were reduced to nine men after Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota were sent off – and then Joel matip turned the ball into his own net in the 96th minute to hand Spurs the win.

There is no chance of this happening with Matip already retired, but Spurs will be convinced they have got the 3 points.

Liverpool finished 4-2 at Anfield.

By Luke Power

Required reading, this.

James Sharpe dives into the stats to analyse how Liverpool compare to their title-winning iteration in 2019-20, that Covid-ravaged season.

It’s easy to forget that Liverpool won 26 of their first 27 games that season, drawing the other. Their first defeat was 3-0 at the hands of… Watford. Somehow they don’t hold a league record points total, but still, it was a phenomenal team.

By Luke Power

However, a rare admission came out of Arne Slot’s mouth in midweek when he said he would like to see Ange Postecoglou win a trophy, however, at any festival compete for Liverpool.

Postecoglou has been tense of late, and Wirth has drawn criticism for his enthusiastic taste for attacking.

“Just be pleased that we have managers like him playing this football logo and that’s why I even hope he wins something,” Slot said.

All the subtleties yet that will not buy the favors of your counterpartArray

By Luke Power

Hello and welcome to the today’s Premier League blog between Tottenham and Liverpool.

With Chelsea recently drawing in Everton, this can constitute an opportunity for Arne Slot’s men to be larger for the Premier League advantage.

And how much they will need it. The Reds have faltered in recent weeks, drawing with Newcastle and Fulham.
